Nnnnope, we got absolutely thrashed.
Coming back to the finale of Produce48 after missing everything since Episode 3 like
I don’t know what I was expecting.
I mean, Twitter is going absolutely bonkers for other reasons, but I’m personally disappointed that despite the ‘48′ branding, the final lineup really doesn’t feel like a 48G initiative at all. With only a paltry 3 Japanese members out of 12 possible spots, a misfire from many of our big guns, and Sakura failing to hold on to the Center position, I guess we can call this one a loss for 48G.
And it’s not just Sakura I feel bad for - I had sincerely hoped this would be Takuechi Miyu’s big break, and an extra popularity booster for Shiroma Miru for her role as one of NMB48′s leading Aces, but I guess it was just too hard for them to cross the nationality barrier.
