HEEEEY! It’s been a while but I am still around.  I’m a lot more active with kimono related stuff on instagram as “@fabricmagpie” This scanslation article is a neat way to DIY level up one’s haneri game. This article comes from a brilliant book called “From Zero Knowledge - Kimono and Living Primer.”  (知識ゼロからの着物と暮らす入門) published in 2008, and reprinted in 2011 by Gentosha. Crazily, I translated this back in March - shortly before going into Winter (I’m a Southern Hemispherian).  I am queuing this for June as most of the english speakers I chat to about kimono are Norther Hemisphere based.
