When the trio were little, they’d play “copy cat” games where they’d imitate each other — this not only helped develop Kano’s ability, but also got him to replicate the others’ actions well.

Kano subconsciously copies Ayano — when he was younger, it was partially to get closer to her, to have something that they have in common. After her passing, however, he came to realize his actions and tried to prevent himself from copying her.

…..Or he tries to, to keep part of her with him.

AU where Kano ends up harboring intense feelings of hatred towards Ayano instead of himself as a result of her naive and compulsive decision to "sacrifice" herself for the "well-being of others."

He starts to wonder why anyone'd risk themselves for something like that. It’s stupid, he thinks.
