It sounds like a whole lot of nonsense to Katherine, and she casually waves a hand in front of her to dismiss the long and seemingly convoluted explanation the girl is trying to give. Whatever tragedy had occurred seemed to have the girl a bit tongue-tied, anyway, so the vampire figures she’s doing her a service by relieving her of her history lesson — or fantasy lesson, she’s not exactly sure at this point.
There’s the distinct sound of thunder, as though the clouds are about to open above their heads and pour down over them. And yet, directly above them the sky is clear — well, the ceiling, considering they’re standing indoors. Moments later, however, it’s raining. Not above them — no. "Nope, no ma'am. I'm not affiliated with any sort of travelers, organized or not. M'just lost."
No help on the 'ta-' word, but that's fine, Annie could look it up later.. or forget about it, either would be good.
"Walked a million miles since sunday and still I got no place to go.. But I hope to set my head down someday, and find a place to call my own."
