Hey, guys! I’m back from my trip! :) I meant to get on yesterday and catch up with things, but the evening got away from me, haha. Anyway, I also just wanna let you guys know that I will probably be slower during the week than usual b/c things at work are shifting around a lot and I have weird schedules, etc. and once I settle into a routine there, again, things will be easier to manage. (Anyway, I meant to get to comments tonight, but it’s late but I def plan to get on tomorrow and hopefully start some IC things hee xD) 

Also, the comment site has been updated!!! 

In addition, Pippa sent me some excellent questions that may be helpful to you guys, too, so I’m posting them below: 

where in the usa is the university? I don’t have an ~exact~ city/town in mind (it is probably fictional tbh) but I was thinking that it is in New York state somewhere. It’s in the country, but it’s only about an hour or so from NYC so our kids could easily go into the city for the day, etc. 

where in the usa is the cabin? I think that it is probably in the middle of nowhere and I’m thinking that it is in PA somewhere, but it is several hours from campus and a good thirty-forty miles from the nearest town. 

how do they get to the cabin? (separately? or all in a big minivan? something like that?) i think that most of them will carpool. I imagine that Britta/Chase/Chris (+ possibly Jules??) will get there a day early to set-up and everyone else will hitch a ride out together later. 

will they share rooms at the cabin? Probably, yes! The cabin is huge and sleeps about twenty-five people, but that’s w/ people sharing rooms. Everyone can plot who their roommate is/if they have one. :) 

how modern is the cabin? (will it have heating, wifi, water, electricity, and all that jazz?) The cabin is pretty modern. It’s a huge mansion that the Hawthorne family built twenty years or so ago. It heating/wifi/water/electricity, etc. etc. It doesn’t have cell reception. After the storm, however, the electricity/wifi, etc. will all go out. Anyway, it def has a lot of perks like being lakeside (not too much swimming will be happening b/c it’s january but anyway), hot tub, rec room, home theater, balconies, fire pit, etc. etc. 

is there a date for event one to begin or is it just whenever? I will make a post when we move on to each event, but we are ready to RP event one as soon as we finish plotting! (basically start w/ this event in character as soon as you are ready!) 

will the events be done over chatzy? I think that most of them will be rped out through comments, but we may do chatzys for some of them/depending on what we all decide we want to do! I just know with the time differences, it’s sometimes hard to pull off, but there may be chatzys! It depends how things go, tbh/what people want, etc. etc. etc.

THE TRANSFER STUDENT

Ly Minh (18) ◦  khả ngân MAJOR: Economics/Freshman RELATIONSHIPS: the nice guy (new friend), the jerk (cousin), the playboy (enemy)

from vietnam originally -there are a lot of stories about soldiers who fathered children during the vietnam war and later trying to find them and minh’s grandfather is one of them that succeeded

so minh late teens finds out she has a grandfather and this whole american family and he/they want her to get a decent education so she moves to america to get a degree. 

thus she is ¼ american, ¾ vietnamese. 

her family in vietnam are farmers. 

nicknames miss saigon, ly/lee, minnie or just min 

nickname ‘miss saigon’ is inaccurate as she is from ben tre in the mekong delta area but she prefers it to asian stereotypes and the like as at least they have the right country. 

generally easy going and fun loving, but she has a temper that spikes to do with a few subjects 

one of them is to do with people being arrogant about money since it can be difficult for some people back in her home country, working hours for just a few dollars. that’s not to say she doesn’t like rich people, but she thinks it’s important to know your privileges and be grateful for what you have. 

that is something she lives by; she is grateful for the opportunities she has and makes the most of them. 

living in vietnam and moving to america has been a major life shift

used to have a lot of anxiety but she doesn’t let it stop her anymore, it’s something she spent a bunch of time working through so she can be comfortable in herself. 

nice to everyone until they give her a reason otherwise 

she likes to meet people and learn of their experiences because everyone’s life is different and she finds this fascinating, just how many different stories people’s lives offer. 

tries to see the best in people but if someone is continually an ass with no real reason or potential for change she may just give up on them and not waste any more time around them. she would rather have positive influences in her life, people who support her. 

is a really understanding and supportive friend 

rather intelligent, more in life experience than academia but she is doing pretty well in college nonetheless.

very down to earth 

has a good enough grasp of politics and the economy, largely from comparing her new and former homes, 

is not used to having much money but it was never super important to be happy, though she recognises its necessity in being able to afford a decent quality of life and security. 

has a very open mind and isn’t totally against the idea of supernatural type things being possible.

THE PSYCHO

upon first meeting seems like one of the nicest guys you will ever meet

is really personable and kind and seems like a genuinely nice guy

but oddly doesn't seem to have many close friends or even any friends for that matter

no one is really sure where he came from or how he even found out about this party in the first place since no one knows him or even invited him

but he knows someone at this party

dated the slut in high school and was genuinely in love with her

thought it was going to last forever until she broke it off because he was getting too "clingy"

so he murdered her father to prove his love for her and was never caught

she told him he was just too "creepy" and has seen a few too many movies and thanked him by taking out a restraining order against him

maybe he has seen a few too many movies but if anything, they taught him how not to get caught

their relationship ended with a few stabs to the shoulder and a fire consumed house after which the slut left him for dead

but now he's returned and means to win her back whatever the cost

even if it means murdering everyone she cares about so he'll be her only other option

has lived for the last few years with a wealthy relative who recently died

thus the psycho has now inheritted everything and has returned home for college

has been at this college for only a semester and has basically just been lying in wait until he can make his move

the new acquaintances he's met at this school will tell you he's a likeable enough guy if a little private

they haven't noticed anything amiss and would probably be really shocked to learn about his past activities

but the truth is, he's a full blown psychopath

and if the slut was his first act, maybe act two isn't so far behind

HAPPY NEW YEARS MY FRIENDS!!!!!!! :DDD

You guys can make your sites whenever you like! S/Ns should be firstnamefyfod; ex: chasefyfod. 

First of all, I’m planning for this to be a relatively short RP but as always, it’s def a go at your own pace type dealio, etc. etc. I’m thinking that each event will be a few weeks to a month but that’s just an estimate tbh. 

Okay, so this is basically the low-down on fyfod (or at least what I’m currently planning??? Honestly, I’m ultimately up for whatever we wanna do with this, but here are my thoughts!) I also really wanted to throw a bunch of different elements together and so there’s ghosts/zombies/demons and I tried to tie them all together and this is what happened haha: 

[ EVENT ONE ] peeps roll up to the Hawthorne house in the woods. IDK the exact location but I feel like it’s in the mountains somewhere. Originally, I was planning on having this set during the springtime/spring break, but instead I think it will be during January/winter break. Everything’s pretty normal at first w/ our idiots being idiots and basically use this time to make complicated relationships even more complicated right before the chaos ensures ;DDD 

[ EVENT TWO ] a huge storm sweeps through and knocks out all the power. the one road that leads back to town is blocked by trees and debris and is basically impassable. there are twenty miles from the nearest gas station and thirty-five from the nearest town. weird things start to happen that some of them will freak out over and some of them will find an explanation for. 

[ EVENT THREE ] so a long time ago on this land, there was a devil worshiper who made all kinds of sacrifices to demons but she was eventually murdered before she could sacrifice 100 souls in this one particular demon’s name and since then, she’s been haunting the grounds trying to complete this. she resurfaces and kills off a couple/lures them to their deaths. eventually the kids will defeat her (how??? possibly they destroy some personal effect -- either on purpose or by accident -- that was keeping her spirit attached to this place or they burn and salt her bones or idk some other way I’m honestly up for whatever ~insert plotting here~) 

[ EVENT FOUR ] soon before the ghost lady was taken care of, she raised the undead bodies of her former victims to help slay our group of unfortunates and even though she’s gone, they aren’t. so now we’ve got a bunch of flesh eating zombies running around who will also kill a couple of peeps, but in the end they’ll manage to get rid of them all. 

[ EVENT FIVE/FINAL EVENT ] by this time, I feel like we are probably down to at least half the characters (possibly less?? although ultimately when/if/how your character dies is completely up to you!!) and this seems like the light at the end of the tunnel/they finally have gotten the road cleared and they are ready to go home when the demon that killed bash’s fam/the same that was supposed to receive these sacrifices shows up. so he may possess someone or he shows up in another vessel but he generally wrecks havoc/kills off people. I feel like he likes to play w/ his food and will mess w/ them psychology, too, which is fun, before killing them off. idk if the demon is exorcised or if anyone is gonna survive but that’s up to everyone and we can decide when we get here ;DDD

OKAY so since vn is on hiatus and we only have mtm at this point, I was thinking about opening this rp up later this week??? It’s gonna be pretty low key (like wow we only have 2-6 characters a person instead of like 6-22 ;DD) And I’ve also figured out what I want to do with this (I will post events later). I will post all the details later in the week w/ plans to open this either friday or saturday (depending on how the week goes) but def not until after we finish up SS things and the holidays are over :)

Okay, so all the characters are posted!!! I’m not sure when I’m gonna be opening this, exactly, but probably the spring-ish??? I still need to work out the specifics of the plot tbh haha but as it stands, basically the three Hawthorne kids go up to their grandfather’s vacation home in the woods for a school break (so like a week to ten days) with friends and while they are there there’s a huge storm that strands them/knocks out the power and then weird things start happening?? And it’s probably supernatural in nature, I’m just not sure what, exactly, but people start dying and yeah. 

I’m letting everyone name their characters, so shoot me a message/text whenever you come up! And obviously take your time w/ this, haha. Also, I’m allowing portrayal changes. :)

it’s literally the perfect job for her b/c she gets to talk to past alumni and bond w/ them and they usually end up giving her lots of money

she’s minoring in music and has an amazing singing voice

but her real love is history!!!!

she’s focusing on american history and knows so much ask her anything!!

she’s basically nicholas cage in national treasure (except she hasn’t stolen any historical documents ... yet ;D)
