Spyhopping Orca in the River Clyde - 21/04/2018
A juvinile male has washed up in Eshaness. Very sad for the Northern Isles pod to loose a young pod member.
The cause of death is currently unknown.

Morgan was never owned by SW and they’ve always had plans to breed her regardless of SW’s own made breeding ban. So it doesn’t matter when SW ended their partnership with LP.
Morgan was included in their lists of assets/orcas. It has been a few years since that documentation was floating around though. X (Page 73 on the document).
Her pregnancy could still be the reason they ended their partnership.
I’ve heard that you can’t really know an orca is pregnant until she’s already 6months into pregnancy, so it was before. But yeah they sure work fast for things that are convenient for them… What about FMF now though? And the upcoming court?
FMF haven’t made any comment on it yet. I can’t imagine it will stop the January date since it has been in the works since 2016.
But a pregnancy announcement will change any plans they planned on presenting since part of their case is “ensure affirmative measures to ensure Morgan is not subject to breeding”
Kasatka, an approximately 42-year old Icelandic female, has died at SeaWorld California. After a prolonged battle with what veterinarians believed was a bacterial lung infection, her health and appetite began to decline significantly over the past several days - despite treatment for her condition - and the decision was made to euthanize her.

Kyara, the 3 month old calf born to Takara at SeaWorld Texas, has died. The official cause of death will not be released until a necropsy has been completed. It is suspected that an infection (pneumonia) she was battling prior to her death may have played a factor.

You all know who that beautiful fin belongs to! W01 John Coe sighted 09/07/2017 off the Isle of Mull.
Fantastic video taken by Kenny Turnbull can be viewed here.
A newborn Commerson’s dolphin calf died just a few minutes after being born Saturday night at SeaWorld Orlando’s Aquatica water park.
Ringers calf died minutes after birth.
If cetaceans used Tumblr:
-humpbacks would run art and music blogs -orcas would run blogs on fitness -blue whales would focus on body positivity -minke whales would be the memers -belugas would be all about aesthetics
and dolphins would probably be the ones running porn blogs.

An unbelievable day today! J pod in the Strait of Georgia and J27 “Blackberry” doing this! There isn’t much I can say about this….I’m still in shock. Man, I love that whale!

Fly like paper, get high like planes! This mess has taken 2 hours 25 minutes to get done.
An old work I did of the J16s, remembering how they were a family of four and how the birth of two calfs into this close knit matriline brought a small and naive glimmer of hope for the rest of the population.

“The #baby #orca has arrived! Help us welcome the last orca to be born at #SeaWorld! https://t.co/kh5FgTo1XU”
The coast of the UK is not well-known for its whale watching opportunities. However, the seas around the British Isles do receive regular visits from an array of marine mammals, from the diminutive harbour porpoise to the 70 ton fin whale. And Scotland’s west coast is home to the UK’s only resident orca population, a group of eight individuals that scientists now believe is doomed to extinction.
Fantastic article about the West Coast Community.

Updated and re-blogging for information sharing. It is odd that (Bar Lulu’s stranding) no females have been sighted even unconfirmed since 2015.
