1830′s DirkJake AU

Situation 

Dirk returning on a ship for England for a presentation on his latest achievement. (Famous for his inventions.)

Jake figures its a good idea to stow away on a fucking ship after a parcel from Jane, which was supposed to have money for his ticket never arrives

Cut to Dirk looking off a railing out to sea when a commotion passes, two crew members dragging off a struggling Jake.

The ships crew is not nice.

Jake isn’t full of completely useless knowledge, recognizes Dirk and rushes up to him with desperation 

“Strider?” (Jake forgets his first name, whoops) "Mr. Strider! Thank God I've found you! These men want to throw me overboard can you believe it? That's - That's practically murder." Jake is a quick thinker. "I tried telling them I was a part of your company but they didn't believe me!”

Whelp, this sucks. Dirk high-key irritated tries his best to keep annoyance out his voice. "This young man is travelling with me. You should have been informed of this.” Roll for intimidation 16+5. Dirk spooks them crewmen away real quick. 

Not so fast Jake. “You have one minute to explain to me why I shouldn't just toss you overboard myself.”

So I’ve been writing this Taakitz fic, right? I had the weirdest dream, someone had either commented or emailed me that I should totally have join in on this ship aND I FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT. LIKE NAH MAN, GET THAT SHIT OUTTA HERE. FUCK THAT.
