This is why it amuses me when animation companies want to design a character to appeal to the ladies. Cartoon characters I know girls have had crushes on include:

- Fox Robin Hood - Basil of Baker Street - Roger from 101 Dalmatians - Clopin from Hunchback - Frollo from Hunchback (these two had more fan sites than the rest of the characters and the entire movie, combined) - Dr Facilier - Tulio and/or Miguel (mighty and powerful gods) - Spike Spiegel

… none of which (with the possible exception of Tulio and Miguel) would be gracing the cover of GQ or fronting a boy band. The best we can figure from the above list is girls like them a) scrawny and b) over endowed in the personality department.

… Actually that kind of holds true for Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston, or at least the characters they play.

I think we may have made a breakthrough here. Will anyone care? Probably not.
