Pay no attention to Lumi, looking very focused. Also pay no attention to the sewing kit taken apart around her. She’s just trying to sew some cat ears that she made on her hoodies.

Y’know, normal 12 year old hobbies.

You, Winona and Zephyr should dress like a faerachnid so Pela doesn’t feel left out.

“Is it weird if I don’t want them to dress like me?” Pela didn’t look up from her book, “Not because I don’t think they’d pull it off, but because there’s scary things to be than me. Like, have you seen mimics? Wights? Gargoyles? Absolutely terrifying.”

“Okay, but seriously, is it lazy to go as a faerie for Halloween even though I am a faerie?”

Is she asking anyone within earshot of her for their opinion? Yes

Is Lumi purposefully procrastinating on her homework to worry about her Halloween costume? Also Yes

“Oh, I haven’t had a baguette in a while...”

Dressed in her uniform—a dark blue hooded capelet tied with a light blue ribbon, a matching dark blue skort with pockets, black ankle boots, white tights, and a white blouse—Lumi caught the sight of fresh bread in a bakery window. Thinking the little detour won’t cut into her walk home, the middle schooler ducked into the store, bought an armful of bread and ducked back out with a big grin.

Humming as she kept on her walk, she squinted a little as she saw ahead of her—squinted like she saw someone familiar.

“Tamera?”

Her walk shifted into a run with her capelet flaring behind her and happy tears prickling her eyes. “Tamera! Hey, Tama!!”

“Hmm, maybe I should pick up dinner for everyone tonight... I can drop it off to Lady Elidi if she’s home before heading home...”

Pela mumbled this as she swiped her ID card near the employee entrance to the library as she clocked out. The faerachnid spent the day sorting books, leading story time for kids, and helping Levant do some translations. She still felt awkward working with the former king instead of for him, but she valued the guidance the archfey had. Humming while walking down the library steps, she was looking through her purse for a menu she thought she had stashed away before one of her auxiliary eyes caught something.

“Huh...? It can’t be...”

Dark hair, brown coat... it couldn’t be him. Taking a breath and waving one of her arms, Pela yelled.

“Leon? Is that you?”

So yeah, I’m back!

I fixed up everyone’s profiles and I added relationship pages. The whole family’s here!

Impending Blog Name Change

Just letting you guys know that the fresh start will include a name change.

New name: Faeriedaylife.

Yes it’s a slight pun on everyday life. I regret nothing

*knocks off layers of dust on this blog* I have a lot of work to do to clean this up. But I think I fresh start will help ^^

“Leon? Hey, Leon!” Lumi was walking on the road back home with the basket of vegetables Elidi told her to get for dinner later. Grinning happily, the eleven year old ran to her friend and opened her arms for a hug.

“I missed you!”

“Lumi?” At first, he wasn’t fully sure it was her. She looked different, her voice made it instantly recognizable for him. Naturally when the young Faery ran towards him for a hug, he gladly accepted with open arms.

“Hey, Lumi.” He gave her a soft pat on the head. “I see you’re grown a bit, and your hair, it’s black. Does it mean your hair color is back to normal again?”

“Yup! All the white finally grew out of my hair. Now it’s black like papa’s is.” Lumi beamed as she felt Leon pat her hair and still held him in a hug.

“But you, though,” Lumi got on her toes a little and poked his nose. “It’s been forever since we saw each other and I wanna know how you’ve been.“

Somethings just never change. Lumi saw the familiar small Absol and gently gave it a hug. "Hi Tam, I made some pumpkin bread."

“Yay!” Lumi beamed and excitedly bit into her half slice. “Now mama and papa have to trust me in the kitchen by myself since the bread came out good.”

“Oh! Before I forget! I know you’re an Absol now, but here.” Lumi stuffed the rest of the bread in her mouth and wiped her hands before pulling out a long dark red scarf and loosely tied it around her neck.

“Dad made you this when it started getting cold around here, so you’d be warm when you come visit.”

‘Merci mon amie!’ Tamera barked.  It was kind of nice to have the red color wrapped around her again.  It wasn’t the same as having her uniform, but it was still nice.  She’d have to wear it properly once she turned back into a human.  ‘So how have you been, mon amie?  Have things been well?’

“I’ve been ok. I’ve just been busy and a little sleepy lately,” Lumi mumbles through another half slice of pumpkin bread and left the other slice on a little plate for Tamera. “School has me super busy, but my flower cart’s been going great when I set it up on weekends. Ah! I dunno if it’ll work or not, but mama and papa have been figuring out how to help me fly again.”

((I made the mistake of imagining Lumi getting her first love letter from a classmate and she’s just the most confused bean about it XD))

“No problem. Anything for my best friend.” Lumi sat next to Tamera and pulled out a slice of pumpkin-shaped slice of pumpkin bread, breaking it in half and holding it out. “I hope you like it, it’s the first time I baked this by myself.”

Tamera gave a few happy trills.  Having Lumi by her side could even make her forget the agony that was being the worlds smolest Absol.  She grabbed the offering from her friends hand in her maw, quickly chewing on it before swallowing.

‘It tastes really good mon amie!  You did really well!’

“O-okay, m’gonna try!” Lumi looked at the rope and back to Liv before taking a deep breathe. Holding her arms out like airplane wings, Lumi took one step, then another, and another! Her nervous face started turning into a smile as she made it a quarter way across the rope.

But the smile turned into a scared squeak as she started losing her balance. “No no no no!” Lumi’s arms started flapping her arms but the smol fell off the rope.

“ You’ve got this, hon. “ She beamed, hands held out to catch the child just in case. The further Lumi got along the rope, the more Liv smiled and encouraged her, “ See? You’re a natural! “ There was a bit of a wobble in her step, but she could tell Lumi wasn’t in any danger until she heard the girl’s tone shift and the bigger sister was ready.  Liv was quick to scoop Lumi up in her arms, spinning as she held her close and gave her a gentle kiss to her forehead, “ I’ve got you, Lumi, you okay? “

“I’m okay, I’m okay” Lumi giggled and held on tight as she got the forehead smooch, only to gently squish her older sister’s face. Though her face turned a sheepish as she poked her fingers together.

“I was so scared of falling I forgot I could just use my semblance. Hehe, I guess I was just that spooked.”
