Mest did not expect his beloved to be as bold as she was. Barely did he sit next to Aisu only for her to climb on his lap and kiss him while curling up in a snuggling position. His eyebrows shot up as he returned the kiss softly. “ Missed me that much, eh?” he assked sheepishly, holding her close.

“I’m sorry. I should have picked something less time consuming, I’ll make this up to you, promise.” he whispered, starting to caress Aisu’s hair slowly. “I missed you so much sweetie.”

“I missed you too…” Aisu smiled a little at him. “Sorry that I’m being so needy.” She didn’t really sound sorry. “I’ve just missed you a lot.” She reached her hand to mess with his hair, just feeling it and running her fingers through it.

“You were gone for a week,” she complained, sitting on his lap quite contently, leaning her head against his shoulder. “I was stuck with dealing with Natsu instead of being with you.”

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have gone  on that mission solo. I got jumped on a delivery in a shady place. Barely had time to telep[ort back home.” Mest winced, holding his jaw in his hand. He approached Aisu shyly. “I will get it looked at later, but first tell me, how are you and little Ryuu doing?” he asked, gently touching the Ice Dragon Slayer’s stomach.

Aisu’s concern only heightened at his explanation, but at his question, she sighed a little. “I’m fine... He’s active though. I’m more worried about you right now.” She reached out, hand gently touching the already discolored injury. She used just a hint of magic, to make her hand cold, not unlike an ice pack.
