The above costume is an excellent example of a theatre costume being reused for a film. Archie Nathan’s 1960 book Costumes by Nathan notes that the armor that Jean Seberg wore in the movie Saint Joan in 1957 was initially made for Ellaline Terriss for the play St. Joan in 1911 at the London Coliseum.

Arms and Armor From the Islamic World
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (February 10, 2016-January 2, 2017)
This exhibition features a selection of more than three dozen historical examples of Islamic arms and armor, which represent the breadth and depth of The Met’s renowned holdings in this area. Focusing primarily on the courts of the Mamluk and Ottoman sultans, shahs of Iran, and Mughal emperors of India, the exhibition celebrates the publication of Islamic Arms and Armor in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum’s first scholarly volume on the subject.

Abstract Smoke Forms Reveal Nature’s Unseen and Quiet Beauty in European Landscapes
Italian photographer Filippo Minelli explores the dynamic silent beauty of nature in series “Silence/Shapes.” He expresses its essence and spirit through the medium of smoke bombs to communicate nature’s visibility through an abstract form. Minelli asserted said conceptual thought in a series of landscape sceneries in Europe.
He glamorizes abandoned European landscapes with a set of vibrant colors, which mimic nature’s temperament. Minelli has given nature, the largest inspirational source of mystery in the world an interpretation.
