More Arianne at @iceandfirecon. This was by far the comfiest asoiaf cosplay I have ever worn, especially in the heat. I was so happy to wear two selfmade cosplays of book-only Martell ladies this year. Next year’s IaF lineup for me might not be as Martell centric but Martell will always be my house.

Last weekend marked Ice and Fire Con’s five year anniversary convention. Established in 2012, Ice and Fire Con is by fans, for fans, and was the first Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire convention in North America. The importance of the fifth anniversary wasn’t lost on the organizers and they pulled out all the stops!

I attended the AMAZING Ice & Fire Con this past weekend, and it was such a blast! I uploaded the photos I took to the History of Westeros Facebook page, but here are a few of my favorites. Obviously Old Nan was a standout, and seeing Elia Martell (@sonyaalexandrovna) sitting in the grass while Joanna Lannister gets choked out was killer. I’m a bad fashion student and used commercial patterns, but I was pressed for time and did not have time to draft my own. There are things I’d like to add to the Elia dress, but all in all I’m excited to wear these this weekend. I’m happy to continue my pattern of book-only ladies. Maybe next year I’ll join up with a Cersei and do an original design for Taena Merryweather. (Last year I just wore a dress and borrowed a Cersei lion necklace cause I wasn’t able to make anything new)

Stannis + Roose!

I loved taking these, and got to rant about how my endgame/fave death for Roose is him and Stannis having a deadpan snippy dinner then Stannis executing Roose, Roose just being uncannily nonchalant about the whole thing.
