Cosplayed Poison Ivy and Peter Undine in Seattle for WorldCon, got to meet G Willow Wilson and she got very excited and took a photo of us and posted it, saying it was the first Peter Undine cosplay she had seen!
This run of Poison Ivy starts in Seattle, and features it, so we were extra excited to bring the cosplays to this con! We will also have them Sunday of DragonCon this year.
Really a special time for television for me specifically (and I hope for lots of you too). I lurk here and never post anymore these days, but this felt like the place for this.
I finished 8/10 episodes of the King of the Hill revival, and even with the changed voices being an adjustment, it absolutely has the humor and heart of the original. Had me howling with laughter and also very touched. They nailed Hank and Bobby's progression and growth, and Peggy had some of the funniest lines imo (her pronunciation of Saudi Arabia alone had me losing it).
Also really really good? It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 17! The best they've been in years, each episode is quotable and makes me cackle so hard, I promise you want to catch up on this season.
Feeling lucky to have my all time favorite comedies still airing (or airing after a long time!), and thought I'd go over some of the others coming soon.
Next month, Futurama returns, and things finally started really clicking there in the back half of last season, so I have high hopes there too! Go back to it if you gave up on the revival's first season.
You know what else is returning after a decade off the air? The Comeback with Lisa Kudrow. A very underrated and meta HBO show, one of my favorite series of all times despite being just two seasons. Wild that I'm getting a third season of it.
And, yet another comedy series return (of a sorts) that I'm anticipating: The Paper, which is The Office spinoff with Sabrina Impacciatore and a mostly new cast, airs next month. Of course, they also recently had the Australian version (thumbs up, but I just love a mockumentary).
And for the completionist in me...Beavis and Butt-Head revival is also very solid, and has a new season soon! If I know one thing at this point, it's that a Mike Judge show will not disappoint me...and IASIP will air until the gang is all dead.
You will never guess who this woman is talking about in the latest episode of The Rehearsal. Iconic lines, they'll live in my brain forever.
What an absolutely iconic episode of The Rehearsal.
Vibe check - who is still active here? Trying to stop lurking and get back to posting, been using Bluesky a bit too, but idk, maybe should just come back here where the image sizes are huge and all my fandom friends used to live. Here's my carrd with my links and interests, but recently airing shows I've been obsessed with are
Severance - of course, as my Mr. Robot and Legion and Better Call Saul moots would expect. RIVETED. Makes me miss making edits.
Mythic Quest - hope all my IASIP and other comedy followers are watching that! god I love this show, about to watch the latest episode, but the murder mystery episode last week was so good.
Harley Quinn - gayyyy and raunchy and I just love them all.
Abbott Elementary - happy to see the mockumentary genre thriving, and always a mood boost in my week.
The White Lotus - so many thoughts already. disappointed in this season's theme song, but intrigued by the characters. Need Greg to get what he deserves after last season, ughhh @ him. Happy to see Aimee from Sex Education, and the incredible Carrie Coon.
Arcane - I'm still not recovered. I can't wait for the next Runeterra shows.
Some recent Fire Emblem cosplay highlights - we had a 20 person Fire Emblem rave cosplay group at MAGfest (I was Yunaka). Then there were three Yunaka cosplayers at the shoot!
Felt very zappy at the Nintendo shoot at DragonCon 2023 - cosplayed Yunaka with Emblem Marth (gotta have Perceptive).
