Semi Hiatus For October
OCTOBER IS HERE! Which means it’s an incredibly busy month for moi!
With 2 events coming up this weekend alone, then 3 more events scattered throughout the month, 4 costumes to make, two of which need to be done by this weekend and a week long trip to Disney World from Oct 22nd to the 28th.....yeah......my availability has dropped a tad. BUT don’t worry, it hasn’t dropped completely. This just means you won’t see me constantly on here.
Big threads will be done every so often and smaller threads will be replied to as quickly as possible. So please, don’t hesitate to chat with Marina, just be patience with a reply. Thank you and love you all!

Hearing the news, he looked more concerned for her than anything. She needed the rest somehow and if it meant he had to stay, he was considering it without missing a beat. He had his time out and about at sea for a long time and had done well for himself. Perhaps retirement from such adventures were something to consider.
“Sounds like someone needs to whip your council into shape if you are running yourself so ragged. It’s not proper or right for such things to happen.” His voice allowed his annoyance to be heard.
“Perhaps I can be of help in being an ambassador on your behalf for such matters? I don’t want you running yourself into an early grave as you understand this kingdom more than anyone ever seems to give you credit for.”
Marina chuckled darkly, walking over to the counter as she began to snip away the ends of the roses. “My dear Mister Arrow, that is the point of their plot. They see me as unfit to rule given my history as a commoner and would have me off the throne. They see Rapunzel as their Queen given that she has royal blood in her veins. I do not. But I will not fall for their tricks. I will fight for place until my last breath.”, she said in a calm tone, as if it was a speech she had said her entire life.
At his suggestion, she shook her head, finishing cutting the last rose before placing them in a vase. “No. I will not have them run you raged as well and believe me, they will. No one of non-royal blood is safe...the purists...no, you’re far better off on the sidelines than in the arena.”

The grass rustled underneath the hem of Marina’s dress as she strolled down a beaten path in her garden, a calming sound for one under as much stress as she. Her journey as a queen and mother never seemed to cease. As of late, it felt as though she was losing her own self attempting to please her kingdom and the royal council. But she could not wallow in self pity for her stress. After all, she was a queen and these matters had to be dealt with.
So instead, she took what little time she had to enjoy her few hours off, soaking in the afternoon sun amidst her growing garden. Finding a bench nestled against the roses, she opened her book and began strumming her fingers along the pages, searching for where she had left off. It had been so long since she last opened it, she nearly forgot what she had even read. Upon finding her marker, she was quickly reminded and she let herself be enveloped by it’s contents, finally letting herself relax for a change.

“I’ve done nothing except feel bad about not managing to get here more often to see you. I just thought the color array looked elegant and lovely enough to suit you well.” he remarked.
Adjusting his stance, he could do nothing more than smile with happiness in seeing just how well Marina was. A delight was being in her company but even more so in being close again. He intended to try and allow himself some time away to spend with her. If anything, his body could use the rest off the seas with the weather changing.
“How have you been as of late, my dear?”
“Well had you come any earlier, your travels would have been in vain. I have been far too busy with matters in my kingdom to have been able to take any visitors. In short, you are lucky.”
It was true, as of late Marina had been quite the busy worker, traveling to different kingdoms, signing trading and alliance agreements, hosting an array of royal events. It was tiring to do all of this alone, as her council was no help. If they had it their way, she would not be anywhere near the royal throne.
“As for how I have been I am certain you can see it in my eyes. I am exhausted. Tired of running around, playing the entertainer. I am far too old for all of this. But other than that, I suppose you could say that I am alright. And you?”

Dear Eugene Fitzherbert, At your earliest convenience, I graciously invite you to accompany me in the gardens at half past noon for tea, biscuits and friendly discussions. Yours Kindly, Marina del Sole
The Queen folded the brief letter and slipped it into the envelope, instructing the maid to deliver it to Rapunzel’s friend as quickly as possible. Normality would have allowed her to ask Eugene herself if he would join her, but she was far too busy this morning. She was a Queen after all. There were papers to be signed, political discussions to be had and so forth. In truth, she was fearful she might not even make it to her own request.
But the morning flew by quickly and she found herself nestled in her seat in the gazebo, thinking it to be close to the time of the ex-thief’s arrival.
Ex-thief.....it had been nearly two weeks since the man had been pardoned and the thought still weighed heavy on her mind. On the one had, she was grateful for the return of her daughter, ecstatic to say the least, but on the other.....Eugene had stirred quite a bit of trouble in her fair kingdom and she felt that she deserved to hear his side of the story before drawing any more conclusions about his character.
So she waited for the man in silence, sipping her tea, musing over how this conversation might turn out.
Quietly slips up behind her only to clear his throat and offer a dozen red and white roses mixed together.
Marina’s shoulders lifted as she was surprised by the sudden noise from the man. She laughed at herself for being frightened as she turned, that laughter soon dying as she gaze upon the wonderful boutique of roses that were offered to her. A warm smile spread across her lips. “Oh my, how lovely. The white rose, you know, means innocence and even sympathy…….what did you do Mister Arrow?”, she smirked mischievously, raising a curious brow.
Shielding her face from the piercing wind, Marina tried her best to keep steady as she walked down the pathway of the courtyard. With autumn upon the kingdom, the leaves were beginning to turn and the air brought the harsh, chilly winds. It was a rather saddening time for the queen, as she knew her garden, which she worked so hard on all spring and summer long, would whither and die until next year. No more would she be able to look out her window and see the bright and beautiful colors of the flowers. Only dark reds, browns and oranges until winter.
Now was the season to find something new to occupy her time. But what? There were many things to do, whether it be in or outside of Corona. Choosing something though would prove to be difficult. “Sailing? My word, no, it is far too windy for that.”, she mumbled to herself, looking at her surroundings for inspiration. “Painting? That is Rapunzel’s hobby though and I am no painter.” Why must she go through this every year? With a heavy sigh she continued forward, wrapping her cloak tighter around herself for warmth, thinking hard on what she could do.

ooc; OFFICIALLY, ONCE AND FOR ALL, BACK!
*army crawls in to Tumblr and collapses*
Months of planning. Months of stressing. Of tears. Sewing costumes. Rehearsing. Selling tickets. Advertising. Styling wigs. Making decorations. Just...everything! After all this time I can officially say that I have survived my first Fairytale Ball for my company. It was one of the most stressful experiences of my life but in the end, seeing the smiles on those kids faces, made it worth it.
I am so proud of all my princesses and handlers. They did an amazing job. I can’t wait to start working on the Christmas Ball we’ll be holding (we’re doing it on a smaller scale this time).
BUT, because I am done with all this Fairytale Ball stuff, you know what this means? There is now absolutely nothing holding me back from roleplaying. I have all the time in the world again. No more getting up, having coffee and working on decorations, making phone calls, ads, etc... I can wake up, have my coffee and just relax. SO! I want to ease back into playing Marina and getting into the groove of things again so don’t be shy, come harass her in her inbox and say hello! I have missed you all so so much.
Marina's eyebrows raise in surprise as she walked up on the stranger, who’s back was turned to the queen. She clasped her hands behind her back as she cleared her throat, making her prescence known. “Is there something I may help you with dear? You look a bit lost, if I must be honest.”
“Please do not tell me I must alert the guards.....again.”, Marina groaned as she spotted the two thieves only feet away from her.
