update on the waterlogged phone 

after abt 34 hours of it sitting in a bag of rice, i finally had the guts to turn it on. i had to jiggle some rice out of the charger port, but it came to life. i’m very apprehensive because after holding it and messing with it for a few minutes the back started to get pretty warm, so i’m concerned that it’s going to kick the bucket for good pretty soon

What are some bad Feuilly tropes that I should steer clear of when I write him? I figured you'd be the best person to ask 😅

oh omg i’m flattered!! to be honest i’m pretty open to lots of different interpretations of feuilly. i personally portray feuilly as agender with they/them pronouns, and i’m hoping it’ll become more of a fanon accepted thing like nonbinary jehan. (it really bugs me that people kind of just make jehan the token nb character and leave it at that? i love nb jehan, but you’re allowed to have more than one. i’m nonbinary and most of my other friends are nonbinary too, we flock to one another.)

one thing i don’t like is when people make them really irritable and mean? feuilly loved their friends and loved the people, and they wanted to make the world a better place. they wrote “long live the people” on the wall shortly before they died;  they knew they were probably not going to make it out of the barricades alive, and the last thing they ever thought about was people they were fighting for. i think that speaks a lot about them.

also, i know they’re often paired with bahorel, and i’m not saying that’s bad, but they’re so much more than a ship! they’re a really interesting character that’s frequently overlooked, and i think the fandom could produce some more diverse headcanons for them.
