I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.

and it would be so good if this all happened back when they started falling out, started competing in different classes, seeing eachother from afar, falling out and then meeting again in moto2 and suddenly pedro doesn't want to get close to anyone but when fermin tries to mend whatever happened, pedro acts so weird.. and he doesn't exactly act as he remembers him.. he's more closed off but blushes at the sight of fermin and can't hold eye contact.. and by the time they get to motogp and they fight for whatever reason, it all comes spilling out.

i think one of the reasons rosquez gets me so bad is that the young absurdly talented up and comer is almost ALWAYS held at a distance by the established top dog racer he is a potential threat to AND this is a pattern followed by vale and by marc towards many people over the course of their careers like marc straight up starts cutting bitches off and vale ruined multiple lives and had no qualms shattering people’s idyllic fantasies of him as their idol but NOTTTTT with each other like marc was arguably THE clearest “next great one” ever and sending it up the inside of vale 8 times in qatar on vale’s yamaha comeback ride with a reckless sort of pointed joy at the prospect of fucking vale’s shit straight to hell and vale was STILL all over that kid sloppy style from the jump. it makes you CRAZY
