I don't particularly group the concepts in the same way, as you might think. I'm putting the shipper before hate and spam, which originally didn't have to deal with pedophilia at all.

Ereri is a very touchy ship when it comes to the shingeki no kyojin fandom. What I'm saying here is that people who ship this particular ship acknowledge the rustiness and brutality that is behind it. Levi was not introduced as a very compassionate character. Pedophilia, in a topic as a whole, is very gruesome in real society. I think that a line is drawn from fiction and reality when it comes right down to it.

Commonly known, it's shotacon. Because one person says they like it, they are not really entitled to go right for it and completely hunt down a child in the street and capture them for their gratification.

On the note of ereri again, ereri is purely fictional. I don't understand how people put intense time and effort into hurting people who like a fictional couple, if they're even seen as a couple anyways. 

So I am putting shippers before the hate given to them, but I am also someone who advocates rather than hates.

I am severely disappointed by the state of this tag! However, it doesn't mean like it can't be corrected, as strange as it seems. So it looks like sonic is favored over ereri? Sonic is funny and a great show-- however, belongs in a different tag.

I certainly do understand what sexual assault is and feels like. As a matter of fact, I am a victim of cruelties like this. Ships are indeed triggering so some people, which is why I find blacklisting to be a godsend for the online community. I know that it doesn't do much, but it does the bare minimum to ensure a safe environment for a blogger on tumblr. 

As for the scenario that you've presented, it does make sense in hindsight. Although that would be under the assumption that they were forcibly shown that death/horror scene, which is sort of how sexual assault works in entirety as well. As for that, I'd like to say that most of the tumblr community does a very good job in tagging things that are potentially able to trigger someone. And if it persists to be become an issue, I would suggest to unfollow that triggering blog or remove oneself from a harmful environment, if that is possible. If not, seeking help is always an option.

Levi as a character is rather brutal and harsh, as he is introduced during that court case scene. I'm not the creator of the manga/anime. It's not the way I would have personally presented a character at first, but there's no changing that. Any shingeki no kyojin fan will be able to say that Levi is a harsh character. He is not meant to be taken lightly. Romanticizing his actions, in an ideal way, is not right, but it's done anyways. If people want to do it- they do it. Purely since it's fiction.

The existence of the ship, I agree, can be hard for people who are made uncomfortable or are triggered by it. Ereri isn't, as a ship, meant to be taken lightly in any aspect. Many shippers are especially careful with this.

I agree that crime is wrong. I do not agree that fetishes are something to be shameful of, when it's just for satisfaction that is entirely consented. In the perspective of a ship, in its entirely, ereri is purely fictional. 

Luckily, it isn't reality. To which, if it was, I would agree. But for the instance of a shingeki no kyojin ship, I would not agree.
