When do you think Lucy realized she loved Natsu? I’ve seen posts about Natsu but not Lucy.

Its the opposite with me lol! I always saw more HC and theories of Lucy than i did of Natsu!

I would have to say, she definitely was in denial of her feelings before the one year time skip. She loved Natsu as a friend and a teammate, but after everything they went through, even before tartaros, she probably felt she might really love him. That’s where the denial began. She wouldn’t have wanted to tarnish anything between them especially their friendship. Lucy’s even said it before, that she doesn’t think Natsu is interested in romance “or anything like that” So her pushing down what she didn’t want to be feelings for her best friend made her believe she really was just crushing and being ridiculous. But during FTs disbanding we can see Lucy was really heartbroken because of everything especially when Natsu and Happy left. Seeing Natsu again made those feeling come back even stronger for Lucy. During the Alvarez arc she did everything she could to keep him alive and safe, and after all of it Mashima gave us this beautiful scene-

This is when she realized her feelings went deeper than friendship for this man.
