100YQ Chapters 208 & 209 — Gray’s Inner Thoughts, Love, and the Kiss
Hi everyone! I've finally had time to sit down and gather my thoughts on the recent chapters and wanted to get this posted before the new chapter releases in a few days. It’s been a while since my last meta/chapter review, but don’t worry—I’m still very much a huge Gruvia fan. This account is still your go to / number one source for everything Gruvia, even if Tumblr isn’t as active as it once was. I’ll keep doing my best to stay on top of all the latest moments and updates, so stick with me. Please note, I am not going to reiterate every part of the chapters. This meta is specifically focused on Gray's love, thoughts, and the kiss.
With that said, let’s dive into the recent chapters.
What a lovely chapter title and cover! Chapter 208 is one of the most important Gruvia chapters because it is built entirely around Gray's internal reflection. Not comedy, not implication, and not outside commentary. This is Gray’s own point of view, which is rare, and that’s exactly why it matters so much. A lot of the confusion around this chapter comes from how it’s structured. Gray is not suddenly realizing he loves Juvia just because she’s in danger. From the very beginning, he’s already in the middle of a thought, reflecting on the people who have always been by his side, and that reflection specifically ends with Juvia. The final pages simply complete that same thought as everything unfolds, so this isn’t a brand-new realization... it’s a continuation. I will get more into this below, but feel free to read about the Japanese text and raw breakdown here.
Referencing the picture above, Juvia is not treated as some random afterthought or gag attachment here. She’s grouped alongside the people most deeply interlaced in his life and identity, but more than that, she is actually singled out. Juvia doesn’t just belong in that group—she stands apart within it. That says everything about where she already exists in his heart. Speaking of which...
This is not the first time Juvia has been singled out. We have seen Gray think of her separately from his friends in the original series, as well as being the only woman in his heart via Hakune. She has become something natural, stable, and essential to him, someone whose presence he unconsciously depends on. That is exactly why the next realization hits as hard as it does, because Gray is forced to confront the fact that what felt “normal” was actually something precious.
That’s where the line “I took it for granted that she was always by my side…” comes in. This doesn’t mean he didn’t care about her before; it means the opposite. Juvia had become so constant and emotionally reliable that he never stopped to fully process how much she mattered to him. He didn’t notice, because she was always there. That’s what makes this moment feel so raw. Gray isn’t discovering new feelings... he’s recognizing the depth of something that has been there for a long time. And that’s why the wording matters so much. It's not that he suddenly loves her, not that he might love her, but that he realizes how much he loves her. The feelings already existed (we knew this); here is full awareness.
That emotional clarity is immediately reinforced when Juvia’s magic is sealed. Gray completely loses his composure. He is not calm or strategic. He panics. He shouts her name, rushes toward her, and when he thinks he’s lost her, he breaks down completely. He’s crying hard, openly, holding her, just like we’ve seen in his most traumatic moments. That level of emotion says everything. His first thought is not the battle as a whole. It’s her. Even in an injured state, Juvia apologizes. She isn’t blaming him or expressing fear for herself, she’s reaching out to him in the most Juvia way possible. The scene is undeniably romantic. The trigger isn’t abstract loss or general comradeship—it’s Juvia. Now, everyone already knew Gray loves Juvia. The manga has confirmed it multiple times and his love has been developing gradually throughout the entire story, right from when they first met in the original. But when Gray says he never noticed how he felt and that he loves her this much, it stands as one of his clearest confirmations of love because it comes from internal monologue. There’s no performance, no embarrassment, no deflection... just honesty. The scene isn’t framed as a joke or brushed aside. It’s treated as a serious emotional climax, and that’s exactly how it should be read. Again, this chapter is not introducing feelings; it is confirming and defining them. Tsundere Gray has finally acknowledged the debth of his feelings.
Take a moment to compare the scenes above. After failing to protect Juvia in chapter 499 during the battle against Invel, Gray makes a vow in the 100 Years Quest to become strong enough to truly protect her. Once he feels worthy enough, he says he’ll “make her his.” Unfortunately, during the fight against Anchor, Gray believes he has failed her once again. Mashima-sensei intentionally parallels these two moments. In both scenes, Gray is devastated, crying over Juvia’s body in despair. But this time, the outcome is different… Chapter 209 picks up immediately from that point and shows what happens when that realization turns into action. Once Gray has fully acknowledged how much Juvia means to him, everything he does carries that weight. Juvia manages to survive through her own strength, but she’s quickly placed in danger again, trapped in poisonous water and visibly fading. Gray’s response is immediate. There is no hesitation, no overthinking, no emotional retreat. Juvia is his priority.
When Gray says, “This time… I swear… I'm gonna protect you!!” it’s not just another line—it’s the culmination of his entire arc in 100 Years Quest. He is acting on the emotional truth he just admitted to himself, and his vow to become a man strong enough to protect Juvia that he declared long ago.
And then comes the kiss. CPR on its own isn’t inherently romantic, but in this case, the context makes it so. Gray had just admitted he loves Juvia in the previous chapter, and then he gives her mouth-to-mouth while reaffirming his vow to protect her no matter what. That promise is rooted in love, so this isn’t just random CPR. It comes directly after him realizing he took her for granted, admitting his feelings, panicking over losing her, and blaming himself for not protecting her. So when he pulls her close and kisses her, it’s loaded with everything he has just gone through. For so long, Juvia was the one openly expressing her love, but here, Gray is the one who closes the distance. His internal feelings and external actions are finally aligned.
These two chapters work so well together because they complete a full emotional progression for Gray. He reflects, realizes, fears losing her, and openly acknowledges his love in Chapter 208, and then immediately acts on that love in Chapter 209. More than anything, they show that Gray didn’t suddenly start loving Juvia—he finally stopped denying what was already true. Once he understands that she is essential to him, everything that follows, including the kiss, feels natural. Gray is protecting Juvia. The next step.... is to officially make her his.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes next for these two. ♡
« I’m gonna protect you. »
« I took it for granted that she was always by my side. So I didn’t notice… how I feel. That I love her this much… »
100YQ Chapter 208 - Gray's dialogue (raw breakdown)
It's been quite awhile since I did one of these! I just wanted to touch on some aspects of the chapter, mainly Gray's inner thoughts on the first page, and final pages. In regards to the structure of chapter 208, it’s not that Gray suddenly “realized” how much he loves Juvia in that moment because she was about to die again. No. Everyone knows Gray has loved Juvia for a long time (including Gray himself) as supported by the manga/official content.
Using the official translation, Gray’s full reflection (in this chapter) is: “It was normal to have them by my side. I’ve been supported by Ur… by Lyon… by Fairy Tail….and by Juvia. I never…noticed… I took it for granted that she was always by my side… so I never noticed… how I feel… That I love her this much…”
Gray is the narrator of this chapter. It’s from his POV. During the final pages, he was actually finishing a thought he had already started from the first page. Let's break it down starting with page one.
そばにいるのが あたり前になっていた → “Them being by my side had become something normal.” なっていた = past progressive This is clearly past tense, describing a state that had already become true.
支えられ… / 支えられてきた “I was supported…” / “I had been supported…” (by them, and by Juvia) 支えられてきた = “have been supported up until now” (past → present continuity) This is past-oriented narration, specifically: Past state (なっていた) Ongoing past into present (〜てきた)
So it’s not a sudden realization — it’s Gray reflecting on something that had already been true for a long time.
気付いて...なかった... → "I hadn't... noticed..." (past negative)
そばにいるのがあたり前すぎて… → “I just really took having you/her near me/by my side for granted…” (present form いる, but describing a continuing state in the past context)
気付いてなかったんだ… → “That I hadn't noticed…” (past negative) 自分の気持ちに… → “My own feelings…”
こんなに好きだって事に… Konnani suki datte koto ni… → “That I love you/her this much…” (好きだ / I love you/her = present tense, but here it reflects a realization about feelings that existed already)
Even though the Japanese raw uses some present forms (いる, 好きだ), the main verb 気付いてなかった (didn’t realize) puts the whole statement in a past realization context. So yes, it expresses a realization in the past about feelings that were already there. At the beginning of the chapter, Gray is reflecting on the people who have always been by his side, and he specifically ends that thought with Juvia. The final pages simply complete that same reflection as everything unfolds. So this isn’t a brand-new realization—it’s a continuation.
Again, the manga has shown that Gray has loved Juvia for a long time, repeatedly. What this moment does is highlight just how deep those feelings are, NOT introduce them for the first time (obviously). Furthermore, Gray using こんなに (konnani) “this much” can also be translated as “to this extent”. Essentially, he loves her SO MUCH IT HURTS and didn't realize his feelings were to this extent until now. Which is backed by his “she’s my power to live” statement from the Aldoron arc. In Japanese, that means “because there is you, I am living”. I see where the confusion comes in because Mashima structured the chapter in a way that can make it seem like Gray is only now realizing his love, but in reality, he’s putting into words something that’s been there for a while. And since the chapter ends on an ellipsis, it feels like Gray hasn’t even fully finished expressing those thoughts yet. Hopefully Mashima expands more on them next chapter. Bonus: The chapter cover is adorable!! And the title...... 氷の愛 (Kōri no ai) Ice Love ....is perfect. :)
Why Juvia Needs to be Present in Gray’s fight in the Newest Chapter of 100 Years Quest
Something I haven’t done in a while, I’m going to give my Gruvia-related thoughts about the most recent chapter, and addressing criticisms I’ve seen online.
Obviously I’m thrilled that after literal YEARS, Gray and Juvia finally reunited!! And I love that Juvia swooped in (again!) to save Gray! Look at her!! She looks so badass! And this was after she saved Meredy and won her fight (on her own!!) previously in this arc.
I want to address people who are annoyed that Juvia is present in another fight of Grays. But can we address why Juvia is involved? What has Gray’s main goal been throughout this entire series? That’s right, to become a stronger person, so he can protect Juvia, and then finally make things official with her. That’s it. That’s been his entire underlying thread throughout.
You don’t have to like that, but it doesn’t change the fact that getting stronger so he can be with Juvia is Gray’s main objective. And how can he fully accomplish and conclude that without Juvia being present? He can’t. So she’s there. And she deserves to be there, because, again, previously to this arc, she hadn’t been active in the story for YEARS.
Also, the 100 Years Quest seems like it’s headed to its conclusion, so it’s time story threads were wrapped up. Gray and Juvia’s certainly being one of them. My ideal conclusion for them, would be for Gray to realize that he doesn’t need to be stronger, that he and Juvia are strong enough together, and their combined strength and love for each other, is what keeps them safe, and makes their relationship such a good one.
Another thing I want to touch on is the fact that people constantly try to undermine opponents Juvia gets matched up against, despite Mashima literally telling us through these characters that they are just as strong or stronger than certain enemies. People always say Juvia lacks “feats.” But when she gets them, people refuse to accept them. 🤣🤣
Juvia’s previous opponent’s magic was compared to Hades. People refused to accept it, because they didn’t want to believe Juvia was strong enough to defeat him in that case. Anchor insinuates he’s stronger than Mercphobia. And again, people refuse to accept that too, because they know Gray and Juvia will defeat him one way or another, and they don’t want Juvia to have such a feat.
I have no patience for people who dismiss Mashima’s own words within the story. Nothing about either of those villains suggested they are unreliable/lying in what they say. It’s a nonsense that comes up because of bias against Juvia. Simple as that.
I also saw people salty because they didn’t want Gray and Juvia matching up against this water opponent. But Juvia never faced another water opponent before(outside of the naval battle). This is her only time doing so, and I’m so excited. It’s about time to see her truly fight in her element. Whether she will be allowed to do anything significant…
That’s another issue entirely. What I’ll say, is be prepared for her to not. It depends what Mashima wants to accomplish here. Is he going to try to harken back to the Invel fight? Like I said, I’d prefer Gruvia to fight together and win (especially since they both won individual fights recently), but what we may get is Gray ultimately being the one to defeat Anchor because he needs to prove to himself he’s strong enough for Juvia. And that’s not my ideal. Like I said, I’d rather that Gray realize he already is plenty strong enough because Juvia herself is also strong, and together they keep each other safe. But we’ll see.
Either way, if you have a problem with Juvia being present in a fight after literal years of her being inactive in the story, and are mad that another fight of Gray’s is related to Juvia in some way, you’re basically saying, you don’t care about the story, and what Mashima has been writing for Gray, and don’t care about seeing it resolved. You just don’t like Juvia, and don’t want her around. But considering Juvia won third place in the last popularity contest, it’s obvious those who feel that way are just a vocal minority.
I’m so glad Juvia is back, and getting much needed fights (especially as she was so lacking in fights in the original series, as well as this one). And I’m definitely so happy Gruvia have been reunited after years (in our time) of being apart. Can’t wait for whatever comes next!!

FAIRY TAIL 100 YEARS QUEST ANIME SEASON ONE [2024-2025] THANK YOU!
orig.
I had the chance to meet Mashima-sensei (again, the first time was in 2017) with the best company around! The shikishis reflect:
“Gray thinking about Juvia and Greige.”
“Juvia holding baby Greige.”
“Gray thinking about Juvia.”
We thanked him for Gruvia. He replied “the story continues/there’s more to the story.” Take that as you will. 😉
Long time no see. 😎

Key take aways:
Gray can't always be honest with Juvia. Yes, he's a tsundere. 🤭
Gray is naturally a bit overwhelmed by how direct Juvia is, but doesn't mind spending everyday with her.
The silly moments between Gruvia are "almost stylized" aka FOR HUMOR. And pure habit. 🤪
The scenes with Juvina are important for Gray, who doesn't usually use words to express his feelings. We always said he is an action guy!! After all, he holds Juvia hand, hugs her, blushes, imagines having a son with her, and died for her multiple times. 🤷♀️
Gray noticing Juvia seemed different, declaring she's important to him, he will become a man strong enough to protect and make her his... all noteworthy!!
Gray finds good traits in Juvia. Wow, he never hated her personality! 😮 He loves her the way she is.
JUVIA FEELS GRAY'S LOVE!!!! She knows he loves her despite him not verbally saying it.
Butttt hopefully he will one day! It's foreshadowed after all. Gray's goal and focus in 100 Years Quest is Juvia. Come on, Mashima!
HAPPY (belated) GRUVIA DAY!! Also I feel like tumblr killed the quality of this image so here is the twitter/X version.

EPIC MEETING BETWEEN GRUVIANS!
Me and @rieriebee met in Rome after years of being in the gruvia fandom together; we shared tears, joy, anger, fanwars! But we never doubted Gray’s feelings and we are so ready for Gruvia to be married: we know it will happen.
These days were unforgettable.
Our meeting also seems to have awakened the dark side of gruvia haters… sadly, we had already said goodbye! It would have been such a good show!
GRUVIA IS CANON, pass it on. Love you, Marie!
Ti voglio bene❤️ gray loves juvia 😆

Gajeel falls on top of Juvia after loosing balance from the window they were looking through. Levy sees them and Juvia says she’s not a love rival because she only thinks of Gray-sama. Touka is known as the white mage who stole the water dragon god’s power. Chapter 25: Team Natsu goes into “Fairy Nail”, a guild where alternate versions of themselves are celebrities. Gray (Glen) is a pole dancer and Juvia (Juvina) is a topless dancer. Real Gray scolds Natsu for imagining Juvia topless. When they get back on the train, Gray says he saw Juvia for the first time in awhile and wonders if she’s doing alright. He then says “romantic love huh…”, with a soft smile and blushes, thinking of Juvia calling his name. Confirming that once again, Gray loves Juvia.
Chapter 26: Gray goes on a date with Juvina (who is Juvia’s counter part) from Fairy Nail, and she teases him about his love for Juvia, that includes saying Gray didn’t deny he loves her. Juvina told Gray that her and Glen aren’t a couple in order to get information out of him by giving him Juvia’s perspective, but in reality Glen and Juvina are together which Gray finds out later. Gray said Juvina and Juvia might look alike but they are different and that Juvia has a scar because of him. Juvia is special to Gray but he thinks he is not good enough for her right now. So he will become a man who can protect her, and then go get her no matter what. After the date, Gray is thinking about Juvia on the train. Juvia then appears! Gray accidentally calls her Juvia-sama. But is it the real Juvia? Gray blushes for Juvia (and Juvina) constantly throughout the chapter. Chapter 27: Juvia hangs out with Team Natsu, but they can’t tell her about their quest due to the contract. Juvia asks if Gray will really come home and he says of course he will eventually. She also says she is planning on leaving tomorrow and had no intention of interfering with the job. Gray says he is happy to see her for the first time after a long time. He notices she is acting strange and asks her about it because she hesitated when asked about the guild. Juvia can’t remember everything, but says there is a new member she’s suspicious of, warns Gray about the white mage, and passes out in his arms. The ground starts shaking and they end up on Aldron the wood god dragon’s right hand. Volume 3 Omake: Juvia is practicing kissing (since she heard in a magazine that men are smitten with women who are good kissers) in a mirror for her forthcoming day with Gray, and Gray tells her it’s stupid to practice in front of the actual person (meaning him), that she should do these things in secret. Chapter 28: Juvia is resting in bed, Gray tells the team about what Juvia said regarding the white mage and said she was acting strange. He volunteers to look after her while Natsu, Lucy, and Erza gather information on Aldron. When Juvia wakes up, she tells Gray and Wendy that everyone in the guild is being controlled by the white mage. She says they must save everyone quickly. Chapter 30: Battle of Fairy Tail in Draseel commences. Gray and Juvia are together, but Juvia can’t use magic. So she asks Gray to protect her, and he tells her not to leave his side. Controlled Bixlow then pops out of no where and says they are being lovey dovey as usual, and he’s jealous. Gray tells Juvia to hide while Gray takes on the raijinshuu. Chapter 32: Juvia is hiding, while Gray fights the raijinshuu. She comically declares Evergreen a love rival but cannot move from her spot because she cannot use magic. Juvia cheers Gray on from afar. Chapter 41: Gray and Juvia meet up with Lucy and Cana. Juvia asks Gray if he would like to take advantage of the confusion to touch her breasts. He freaks out. Chapter 49: Juvia praises Gray after he defeats Mirajane and Elfman. She holds onto his arm when the ground starts shaking from Aldron’s orb being destroyed.
Chapter 50: Juvia still holding onto Gray. She also wished she had her magic to protect Gray’s ears from the loud noise. She gets her magic back and a water bubble appears around Gray’s head. Chapter 55: Start of Gray and Juvia vs. Metro (God Seed of Aldoron) Chapter 57: “Power To Live”. Gray and Juvia continue to battle Metro, they reach for reach other but Juvia gets absorbed by the tree. Metro asks Gray what this girl (Juvia) means to him and if she is power. Gray states that’s right, she is his power to live. Juvia starts blushing, boiling, and steaming due to what Gray says and even repeats it to herself. *Chapter cover matches with Chapter 58′s cover. See note below.* Chapter 58: “Ice and Water”. Juvia is still boiling, but Gray comes up with an idea to use Juvia’s body as ice to set her free. He comes up with a series of attacks called Juvia Freeze, Juvia Geyser, and Juvia hammer. Juvia herself is enjoying this. Once she is set free, her and Gray do a unison raid called Ice Wave to defeat Metro. Gray asks Juvia if her body is okay, and she replies saying she never imagined she would be frozen in a block of ice. She continues to be her silly self while pointing to her lips saying it hurts there and to have Gray give her CPR. That shows Gray she is fine after all, and Juvia continues to tease him asking him what she was to him again (aka his power to live), and keeps pushing for him to say it. Gray blushes and hides his eyes until he finally looks at her and tells her to cut it out because their friends are in trouble. Juvia becomes disappointed, but then Gray puts his hand on her head and yanks her towards him, hugging her. Gray tells Juvia he’s glad she’s safe, and they both blush. They then go off to find the others. Juvia follows after Gray, picking up his clothes. Meanwhile, their guild mates realize Metro has been defeated by the pair. Elfman states Gray and Juvia together aren’t too shabby, while Wakaba and Macao state that is the power of love. *Chapter cover matches with Chapter 57′s cover. See note below.* NOTE ABOUT THE CHAPTER COVERS: The chapter covers of Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest 57 and 58 match on purpose. Chapter 57, titled “Power To Live” (referencing Gruvia; as Gray states she is his power to live in the chapter), depicts beautiful Juvia in a dress with petals around her. Chapter 58, titled “Ice and Water” (also referencing Gruvia), shows bashful Gray holding his hand out, implying he is asking Juvia to dance, as other couples are dancing in the background. The same petals from chapter 57’s cover are also present. The matching covers are also confirmed by Atsuo Ueda, the artist helping Hiro Mashima with the 100 Years Quest sequel. He states on twitter while posting both covers: “By the way, I made the perspective of this cover opposite from the other one.” (Opposite perspectives, as in they are facing each other) Chapter 63: Juvia calls Gray’s name, Gray instantly whips around asking if she called him (while naked). Juvia hugs him and says she’s glad he’s safe, Gray hugs her back while blushing/smiling saying “you too”, being super affectionate so everyone in the guild is shocked.
Chapter 64: Brandish shrinks the girls. Tiny Juvia is looking for her to change them back to normal size but finds “giant” Gray instead. She jumps at him while losing her towel, so Gray “eats” her to hide her from Elfman.
Chapter 65: Team Natsu gets sent to Edolas after 9 years. Edo Gruvia is married and has a son named Greige (who looks like the son Mashima-sensei drew for Gray and Juvia in the past). Chapter 66: Greige asks Gray why he doesn’t wear clothes, Wendy wonders if Gray and Juvia had a child if the child would be like him, and Gray is blushing covering his mouth saying Greige is too cute. Greige blushes shyly at Nasha, Natsu scolds him, and Gray yells at Natsu grabbing his shirt to not be loud so he won’t scare Greige. Chapter 67: Natsu makes a comment about taking Nasha back to earthland, and Gray says they will only take Greige back. Chapter 71: Natsu and Gray encounter Hakune in Elentir who makes dolls out of the women sleeping in the depths of men’s/their hearts. Juvia appears for Gray, and he wonders what she’s doing there while blushing. Juvia is hugging on him and saying it’s because Juvia is Gray-sama’s. Hakune says the women in their hearts soak up their lives. Eventually Natsu and Gray destroy the dolls because they aren’t real. With a smile, Gray mentions the real Juvia is crazier anyway. Chapter 74: Gray thinks of Juvia, saying her name out loud to himself. Wendy, who has transformed into a monster cat, appears in front of him. She teases Gray about being concerned for Juvia. Chapter 81.5 (Volume 9 omake): This bonus chapter takes place right before Gray/Team Natsu gets transported to Edolas/Elentir arc. Juvia and Gray are alone in a room sitting on a bed together as Juvia wraps her water body around him to soak up his “nutrients” since she can’t see him during the 100 Years Quest. Gray apologizes for putting her in danger during the fight with Aldoron, while Juvia responds with teasing him about him saying she’s his power to live. Gray is blushing furiously. Juvia starts thinking to herself how Gray might not come back alive, but knowing she can’t think that way, she comments to herself she fell in love with Gray-sama who fights. But also notes Gray-sama who lounges around all day is fine too, showing her delusion of him asking her for food on the couch while drinking, and she holds the clothes. Juvia says if that happens she will be the provider, and Gray is confused at what she is saying. With a determined look and blush, Gray then says “I promise. I will definitely come back. When I come back….” Then he disappears before he can finish his sentence, and Juvia is left crying comically due to the horrible timing. Chapter 84: Gray vs Hakune rematch, Hakune makes Gray fantasize the blissful life he wants/envisions, which includes being with Juvia and their son, Greige. In this dream, Greige pulls Gray by the hand and says everyone is here, meaning Ur, Ultear, and his dad Silver. They are all together to celebrate Gray’s birthday. Gray keeps saying it’s a dream. He says he wants to stay there forever, but can’t because it’s wrong. It’s a dream. He breaks out of the fantasy and says he doesn’t want to be happy, he wants to make JUVIA happy. Chapter 90: Gray and Juvia reunite and happy to see each other. Watching them, Warren and Max note that Gray’s personality has changed (since he’s more open with Juvia now). Chapter 91: Team Natsu parts from the guild once again to continue on the 100 Years Quest. Juvia clings to Gray’s arm crying not to go, he says he has an important job to do.
Chapter 113: Gray fights Sai of the Gold Owl Alchemist guild, the alchemy “LOVE BOND” was used, resulting in Gray taking on the appearance of the woman he’s in love with. Likewise, Juvia at the guild took on the appearance of Gray, shocking everyone. Juvia comically thinks it’s from loving Gray too much. However, it’s revealed Sai did this thinking he could crush a woman, believing women are weak. Gray tells him not to look down on Juvia. Sai is shocked that Juvia is a mage, and Gray asked if he considered the possibility the woman he swapped with would be stronger than him. Of course Sai did not consider that, so Gray called him an idiot. Gray then states he will use Juvia’s powers, and show Sai how strong she really is. Chapter 114: Gray (in Juvia’s body) uses her magic to beat up Sai, he also pictures different versions of Juvia calling his name (mostly fangirl/comical, but one of her loving smile) trying to remember how she uses magic. Sai changes Gray back to the person Gray thinks is weakest, which is himself. Gray then wins the battle using cold slicer. Chapter 123: Team Natsu returns to the guild, Juvia hugs Gray and mentions her form transformed into his, he remembers the love bond and blushes, trying to explain himself but mumbles. Chapter 124: Gray and Rogue challenge each other on who can step on their opponent’s shadow first, to which Juvia reminds Gray that Rogue is a shadow user.

HIRO MASHIMA’S GRUVIA DAY 2022 LIVE STREAM [SEPTEMBER 10TH]
A few days on twitter space, Mashima-sensei said he would be doing a live drawing stream for Gruvia Day this year, which is of course, September 10th (9/10) as always. Today, he officially announced it at the end of his youtube live stream (with the image above that reads “September 10th Gruvia Day Livestream”) AND on his twitter. Mashima-sensei is inviting all fans to send him your Gruvia art via DM on twitter, because he will show many of them on the livestream! Of course, do not send anything too explicit/NSFW. IMO, send your art before 9/10, at least by 9/8-9/9 so he has it before the stream (note the time difference between you and Japan as well). Old or new, send your best art! 🥰❄️ This goes without saying… only send YOUR art. Do not steal someone else’s hard work. Remember that it’s also Gruvia Family Day, so along with your Gruvia art, feel free to send Gray and Juvia with their son (Greige) art too if you’d like. Always nice for Mashima to see how much fans adore Gray and Juvia’s baby boy. 💙 From Mashima-sensei via twitter: 9月10日【グレジュビの日配信】やります! それに合わせて皆さんからイラストを募集します。 頂いたイラストは当日配信で発表します。 (全部は発表できない場合もあります) イラストは僕のDMまでおねがいします! “On September 10th I’m doing a Gruvia Day live stream! I’m asking for your illustrations for the live stream. The illustrations I receive will be presented on the day of the live stream. (I may not be able to present all of them) Please send me your illustrations via DM!” Let’s give it our all, and show Mashima-sensei how loved Gruvia really is! 🎉
