Orufrey Week 2026 // Let me help you♡

I am always thinking about them taking care of each other in the most basic ways, but its still so intimate and loving raahh🥺

More thoughts/ideas that I had while drawing this below, but they contain manga spoilers so beware!

-Post deforestation, naturally

-Qifrey's eyesight still continues to go/maybe at this point he's gone blind

-In the beginning, its hard to do things himself and not being able to see gives him new anxieties

-Qifrey has spent so long keeping distance, taking care of himself because he couldn't rely on the safety and comfort of being helped by others and continues to struggle with asking for/accepting help post deforestation, even with Olly

-He also feels guilt for everything he's done and hesitates to ask Olly for help with things that are naturally more difficult for him now because Olly has already done so much, given up so much for him

-He thinks Olly's time and effort are better spent on continuing to make contraptions that help other people rather than wasting time on him

-But Olly would do and has done literally anything and everything for him

-Without a second thought, Olly dedicates his time to helping Qifrey acclimate to daily life, providing support, continuing to invent contraptions that can make things easier for him. Because Olly's magic first and foremost is for the person he loves.

Imagine you live in a world where artists and artisans are treated like pro athletes. And the equivalent of the star football player at your school ran away with the emo kid who was always skipping class to smoke under the bleachers. And years later rumour has it that the emo kid's got the football star locked down barefoot and pregnant tradwifing it up at a homestead out in the country or something? But gossip aside his career is still going strong, he's gone pro and he's famous now, and one day you run into him and you're like "hey man how are ya?" And this dude does not even grant you the polite decency of pretending to remember you even though growing up you lived on the same street and took the same bus, he just looks at you and goes "do I know you?" And you deserve this, because you are a cop. POV you are Utowin.
