You Are The Letter
“You are like a letter written by Christ and delivered by us. But you are not written with pen and ink or on tablets made of stone. You are written in the Spirit of the living God, and you carry this message in your hearts.” 2 Corinthians 3:3 CEV
You may not carry a Bible in your hand at all times, but if you carry Christ in your heart, you are a walking epistle. Every conversation you have, every choice you make, every room you walk into becomes part of the letter that God is writing through your life. And that letter speaks louder than your words ever could.
The Apostle Paul said, “You are our letter…a letter written by Christ” (2 Corinthians 3:3 CEV). That means you are living proof of what the grace of God can do. Not ink on a page. Not doctrine carved into stone. Not just theology, but testimony. Not just facts, but fruit. You are evidence that Jesus still saves delivers and transforms.
So, when the world reads you, what do they see? Because you better believe they are reading. Not your Instagram bio, your church attendance or the scripture in your group chat. They are reading your life, your attitude when you are frustrated, your integrity when no one is watching and your response to offense, temptation, rejection and pressure.
We live in a time when people are drowning in junk mail. They’ve seen performance, heard empty promises and watched religion hurt more than it heals. So when they encounter you, will your life be set apart enough to make them stop and take notice? Or will it be just another thing that gets ignored?
Jesus said, “When I am lifted up, I will draw all people to myself” (John 12v32 NIV). So the goal isn’t to magnify you. It’s not about how deep you sound or how gifted you are. Your life is supposed to lift up Christ and when you do, He will do the drawing, the saving and the changing. You just need to show up, stay yielded, and let your life do the talking.
And remember who this letter is addressed to. Not just the saved or the safe. “Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3v16 NKJV). That means the addict, the skeptic, the atheist, the brokenhearted, the bitter, the ashamed, the forgotten. Your life might be the only letter they ever read from Heaven. So don’t leave it blank and don’t let it get returned to sender. Let the Spirit write through you. Let your life become a testimony that can’t be silenced. You aren’t junk mail or a rough draft. You are a letter written by the hand of the living God.
Deep Waters
Psalm 143:8 (NIV) - Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You I entrust my life.
The gospel will always be offensive to culture. That’s why Jesus said, “Take up your cross and follow me.”
Even when it’s not trendy, truth matters.
God says: Stop underestimating what I can do with a willing heart. —God
GOD didn’t say it would be easy. He said He’d be with you.
There’s nothing that’s going to come into the Christian’s life that hasn’t already passed through the hands of God for some good purpose.
This is comforting today.
