1 John 4:19 "We love because he first loves us." She is called to show love towards the people around her because she was shown love first. Never give up on being patient with the people around you or say that you can't stand a person anymore especially in the case where interacting with them is inevitable. God has patience with you always and he hasn't given up on you yet. Likewise, who are we to be indifferent to those around us? As people who trust in who God is should know that his mercy is new every single day. He is a God of love and also a God of justice. It is not up to the church to belittle people that can not see what we see in Christ. No one has ever become a Christian out of being ridiculed and judged on by other Christians. 1 Corinthians 13:2 says that, as Christians, even if we have done numerous things in the name of Jesus but did it all without love then it is worth nothing in the eyes of God. Treat your community with dignity and respect. So where is your focus on today?

Father God in the name of Jesus I thank you Lord that despite any percieved short coming that occurs in my life I am positive that anything that happens works out for the good (Romans 8:28). Thank you Lord that even when prayers feel like they are not being answered or that a solution to my situation feels stagnant, I thank you because what you have in store is a solution so much better thought out than I could have imagined on my own. (Isaiah 55:8) Thank you Lord that I will not be trampled down or walk on by failures. You have given me joy and peace that trumps all logical reason of how I should react after something doesn't go according to my plan. (Philippians 4:7) Thank you Jesus that through you I have ability to stay standing even when life tries to take me down. You are my strong tower; my protector, when I am confronted by negativity and fear. (Proverbs 18:10) Your Holly Spirit dwelling in me keeps me moving forward and keeps me strong. You make all things new. (Romans 12:2, psalm 27:7) In Jesus name. Amen

When Jesus said that he was the same yesterday, today, and forever he wasn't fluffing around with that statement. He gave grace selflessly and showed mercy, while he lived as a man on Earth and he continues to show his character as I'm typing this post. God doesn't change. He doesn't have an identity crisis. If Jesus said that he would do something in scripture it means he would do it. Scripture reads: I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV). We need to stop placing limits on what God can do through us and through others around us. My God is a healer, he is a provider, he is a restorer. He is limitless.

2 Corinthians 5:7. As simple as these words may seem it can be difficult to grasp what it really means to walk by faith. For much of my life I couldn’t fathom moving day by day without knowing what to expect or following a plan with a set schedule on what my life should turn out to be. Walking by faith is a journey. In my own personal walk with God I have been stripped from the safety nets I had such such as finances, career goals, and relationships. And while the journey was difficult at first, I can now see that God intervened so that ultimately my safety would be in him alone.

There is a calmness that over powers the mind the moment we make Jesus the Lord of our lives. Listening to No Longer Slaves performed by Jonathan David and Bethel music has helped to change my mindset on how I see myself taking action in what God has planned for me to do in this life.

God knows that we are not capable of doing what we are called to do. He knows of our weaknesses and how we are broken, may it be by anxiety and worry of what others may think or even the fear of failure. But with God all things are possible and that includes using someone who may not even believe in themselves. God sees us differently than how we see ourselves. Some of us live in fear of making mistakes or making a decision at all. Pslam 37:4 (NKJV) says,

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

We can rest in the peace that Jesus has given us because he cares about our hopes and dreams (1 Peter 5:6-7 HCSB). God cares so much about what we do here on Earth that he will move anyone and anything in the path that is best for us.

You may have had planned out your ideal life, career, relationship, college major, etc and somehow your plans ended up changing. I do believe that cases like these are an example of how God moves in our lives in order that we can truly have the desires of our heart.

When we realize that this life is not about us being able to brag about our accomplishments we become aware that God will change whatever plans we had in order to use us so that others can see how much they need him too.
