“Don’t assume bad of Allāh, for by Allāh, if you obey Him and love Him, He will make for you a source of relief and a way out, and if you are alone, within your family and society, then Allāh will accompany you in your loneliness. And He will strengthen your heart, and make it firm with His guidance.”

You're literally against fat parts of my existence..."
"You're homophobic!"
**Literally posted this before you broke up with me**
I swear to Allah, tell me where in the world did I tell you gay people cannot be Muslim?! How did you come to the conclusion you're either one or the other?!?! And how did you come to the conclusion Islam doesn't WANT you within itself?!
Its not like you're the same person anymore. When I was worried we were different people from back then? You proved me right. You're not the (A) I remember. I'd swear you were possessed or something. And yeah, I fucked up. I admit.
But my love for you is deathless. Im owning up to the things I did wrong. Are you? Im still rooting for you. Are you? Literally... ARE YOU STILL ROOTING FOR YOURSELF??? Or are you simply going to pretend we're all gonna live forever?
Im loosing sleep for you, saving money to give TO YOU... FINALLY GETTING A JOB BECAUSE OF YOU. Because you deserve to be happy and I'll be damned with sorrow to see you royally fuck up and eventually beg for "what ifs" and "send me back"s...!
Happy 1st of Muharram!
Celebrating the return of the Islamic month of Muharram and the safe return of Lebanon's pilgrims and the anniversary of Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) migration to Medina at Lebanon's Al-Ash'aari Masjid.
May Allah guide you all to worldly and otherworldly success and greatness! Especially you, (A/E)! 🥰🥳
The Favorite Foods of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Their Many Benefits (Part 1)
(Source: Pinterest- art and illustration) (The characters depicted are NOT the Prophet or any one of his wives)
------------------------------------
After surviving a Tumblr scam attempt and given my local religious institutions and masajid are sharing a lot of Prophet stories regarding the hijrah (migration) and beginning to celebrate the return of the Islamic month of 'Muharram', I figured I too would join in and share some fun facts about the prophet Mohammad (PBUH). I admit, I am quite the foodie. I love food. It was well-known that the purpose of food was to nourish and strengthen oneself for the worship of God. The guidance of the Prophet Mohammad in his food was the most balanced and excellent, as he was moderate in his consumption and diversified his diet without extravagance or excess. His supplication was often, "Oh Allah, provide Mohammad's family with sustenance". The sustenance here refers to the amount of food that sustains their condition, improves their affairs, and is sufficient for their efforts without any surplus that might lead to temptation or excess.
Ibn al-Qayyim eloquently described the Prophet's guidance regarding food: "His guidance in food was neither refusing what was available nor demanding what was unavailable. He would eat whatever good was presented to him unless his soul disliked it, without it being forbidden. He never criticized any food. If he desired it, he would eat it; otherwise, he would leave it. His guidance was to eat whatever was available".
It wasn't the Prophet's habit to limit himself to only one type of food, not extending beyond it. Doing so would greatly harm one's nature and could sometimes be impossible. If he didn't consume other foods, he would weaken or perish, and if he consumed them, his nature wouldn't accept them, causing distress. Limiting oneself to one type of food, even if it's the best, poses a harmful risk.
The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) used to eat the customary foods of his people, including meat, fruits, bread, dates, and others, as mentioned in his dietary habits. Thus, it is recommended that we refer to his practices for guidance in our diets.

1. Dates: Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever starts his day with seven dates of Ajwa variety will not suffer harm that day from poison or magic". (Al Bukhari 5445)
He also said: "Oh Aisha! There is no house in which dates are not present, but hunger will enter it. Oh Aisha! There is no house in which dates are present, but hunger and poverty will depart from it". (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2046)
“A house in which there are no dates is like a house in which there is no food” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3328)
Dates were a significant portion of the Prophet's diet. The fruits of a date palm tree (النخلة) are called dates( تمر). Dates are rich in vitamins and minerals and are free from cholesterol and contain very low fat. They are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin-A, iron, potassium, calcium, manganese, and copper. Other than these healthy benefits our beloved Prophet (PBUH) used to plant date trees himself. Fresh dates are recommended to be eaten at the time of childbirth. Dates are sometimes eaten with different things to annul any adverse effects. Prophet Mohammad himself would often eat dates with cucumbers as they’re both the opposite of each other in terms of the effect they have on the body so this helps avoid any harmful effects while strengthening the body.
Abdullah Ibn Basr narrated "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came to visit us and we offered him butter and dates, for he liked butter and dates" (Abu Dawud 3837)
Abdullah Ibn Ja'far reported "I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) eating dates with with cucumbers" (Muslim 2043)

Nabeez: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) often consumed a drink called “Nabeez”- prepared from soaked raisins or dates. Nabeez should be consumed within twelve hours of soaking to prevent fermentation.

2. Vinegar: Vinegar (خل) also known as THE SEASONING OF PROPHETS. Vinegar has been mentioned in a number of Hadiths. Vinegar was a part of the diet of all Prophets before Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Umm Sa’d had once said said:
“The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered upon ‘Aisha, when I was with her, and said: ‘Is there any food?’ She said: ‘We have bread, dates and vinegar.’ The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: ‘What a blessed condiment vinegar is. O Allah, bless vinegar, for it was the condiment of the Prophets before me, and no house will ever be poor in which there is vinegar.’ (Sunan Ibn Majah Hadith: 3318)
Vinegar cannot be used in its original state it has to be diluted with water, continual use in its concentrated state will lead to increased heartburn and damage the enamel of the teeth. To have vinegar with bread is Sunnah. Vinegar offers multiple health benefits, including blood sugar regulation, weight management, heart health support, antimicrobial effects, and improved digestion.
"A household which has vinegar will never suffer from poverty" (Tirmidhi)

3. Black Seed: The black seed, also known as Nigella sativa or black cumin, is mentioned in several authentic Hadiths. In Sahih al-Bukhari, it is narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “This black cumin is healing for all diseases except As-Sam.” When asked what As-Sam meant, it was explained as death (Sahih al-Bukhari 5687)
Scholars have discussed the meaning of “healing for every disease.” Some interpret it broadly, indicating that black seed has general medicinal benefits, particularly for ailments like colds or moisture-related illnesses. Others clarify that it does not literally cure every disease, as no plant-based remedy can treat all illnesses. Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajar noted that it is beneficial for cold diseases, while Al-Khattabi emphasized that the phrase is general in wording but specific in meaning.
Furthermore, Black seeds are rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins (B-complex), minerals like calcium, iron, zinc, and copper, and fiber. Research suggests black seed may support immune function, cardiovascular and metabolic health, and respiratory health. Some studies indicate benefits for blood sugar control, high blood pressure, liver health, asthma, and allergy symptoms.

4. Honey: Honey (عسل) is a sweet liquid made by bees from the nectar of flowers. It is a highly nutritious food. It has been considered as the medicine of medicines, food of foods, and drink of drinks. It is a natural cure for most types of illness. The Prophet (PBUH) used to drink a glass of water mixed with honey every single morning. Honey is deemed as a cure for all ailments.
Aisha (RA) narrated: "Allah's Messenger (PBUH) used to love sweet edible things and honey," (Sahih al-Bukhari 5431)
"Healing is in three things: cupping, a gulp of honey, or cauterization. But I forbid my followers to use cauterization (branding with fire).” (Bukhari 5681)
Honey contains antioxidants like flavonoids and phenolic acids that may help protect against conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Darker honey varieties tend to offer more antioxidants than lighter ones.
While honey raises blood sugar like other sugars, research suggests it may help improve fasting blood sugar levels and increase adiponectin, a hormone that can reduce inflammation and support blood sugar regulation.
Honey may help suppress coughing in children over 1 year of age, support wound healing when applied topically, and offer heart health benefits like improved blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

5. Milk: Milk (حليب) is an amalgam of water, proteins, fat, and some natural sugar. Although 87.5% of milk is water, it is somewhat a complex food. After all, a little calf gets all its nutrition from this milk. Apart from proteins, milk also contains loads of other essential vitamins, such as vitamins A, B12, and D. Milk helps in the development of strong bones and teeth, as it is rich in calcium. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) loved having goat and camel milk. Milk has been mentioned in the Quran as well.
"Pure Milk, easy and agreeable to swallow for those who drink," (Translation: Quran 16:66)

Tumblr Scam Alert
So I haven't been on Tumblr long before I get two Activity pings telling me my account is rendered suspicious. How and why? I haven't spoken to anyone before this, I have my first few followers, several reblogs, a handful of personal posts (with citations, sources and art links mentioned too). When I clicked on the link, it took me to:
They are asking me about my bank details??!?! Why? I have never paid for anything nor bought or gifted anything to anybody here! I haven't even spent THAT long on Tumblr to begin with. And what does my bank account have to do with my age?! The responses in the sidechat? Painfully automated. Do not fall for this!!! I have tested whether or not my account and posts were actually limited and in 'Lurker Mode' with two people as you can see. I made a 'Test Post' and asked them to see if my account name could be searched for and found. Both of them saw my new post, all of my posts and could find my account. I typed my account in the Tumblr search bar and found my own account too. DO NOT GIVE YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU SUSPECT ANYTHING! This post has been made with everyone's safety and wellbeing in mind.
Types of Dreams According to Islam
(Source: explainitdaily.com
A dream is a succession of images, dynamic scenes and situations, ideas, emotions, and sensations that usually occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. Humans spend more than two hours dreaming per night, and each dream lasts around 5–20 minutes.
In most cases, dreams don’t affect sleep. Dreaming is part of healthy sleep and is generally considered to be completely normal and without any negative effects on sleep. Nightmares are the exception.
In Islam, given Allah is the creator of all things, all dreams are from Allah. But we say some dreams are from Allah, and some dreams are from Shaitaan. What do we mean by this?
1. Dreams from Allah: These are no ordinary dreams, but they are messages. Have you ever had a dream soo clear and real you asked yourself if it could have been a sign? It very much was a sign from Allah. In the Quran, can observe the example of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) who dreamed that the sun, moon and eleven stars would bow to him. This was no ordinary dream, but rather a divine insight into his future which eventually came to pass. The sun represents his father Yaqoob (Jacob), the moon represents his mother (some say it represents his aunt who helped raise him, but the majority consensus is his mother) and the eleven stars represent his brothers. They would all bow before him in awe of and acknowledgement of his high and noble station before Allah. Dreams from Allah can often be symbolic insights or precognitions into a person's future, ordained by Allah Himself. Another example is the dream of the king of Egypt, in which the king of Egypt dreamed of seven fat cows being eaten by seven lean cows, and seven plump ears of grain being swallowed by seven withered ears. Prophet Joseph interpreted this as seven years of abundance followed by seven years of severe famine. This dream was both insight into the future and warning. We can infer that some dreams can serve both a premonition purpose as well as a warning of potential dangers to come that may be averted if one takes preventative action. In essence these dreams serve a guiding purpose; omens, you could call them. Scholars, Awliyaa (Muslim Saints) and dream interpreters have also agreed that specific visions and dream sightings are omens that specific and agreed upon benefits and blessings. For example, seeing the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in a dream is an agreed upon omen that the dreamer, if Muslim shall die upon Islam, and if non-Muslim, will enter the fold of Islam and die upon it. Dreams from Allah tend to have a lucid sensation, evoking feelings of calm, awe and inspiration. While dreams with warnings feel cryptic, anxious and intimidating, they do not compare to nightmares and 'Dreams from Shaytan'. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) had once said "Good dreams are from Allah and bad dreams are from Shaytan".
If you ever wake up feeling positive? Consider it a blessing. These dreams are Allah's way of steering you in the right direction. If a dream instils clarity, it is guidance from Allah. And Allah knows best.
2. Subconscious Dreams: These dreams are not as crucial or significant as the aforementioned 'Dreams from Allah' and are never as hideous or harrowing as 'Dreams from Shaytan'. Such dreams include, for example... eating pizza while flying or being late for school because you missed the school bus. These dreams manifest by the will of Allah, as a result of your brain processing stress, routines, ideals, emotional attachments and many agree that certain foods or snack choices alter the likelihood of such dreams manifesting. Scientists claim we dream for more than two hours per night, but we barely remember any of it. Ever had a dream soo random, you couldn't even begin to explain it? That is just your brain sorting through your ego and subconscious. And similarly to the aforementioned, these dreams can provide some insight into the dreamer's waking life while not being premonitions. Ever notice how when you're stressed your dreams get more chaotic? That is a sign of something that needs to be addressed in your waking life. And Allah knows best.
(Source: encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com)
2. Dreams from Shaytan: The third and most harrowing and disturbing kind of dream are the dreams from Shaytan. Nightmares fall into this category and are often seen as spiritual attacks rather than meaningful messages. Some nightmares may also involve the influence of malevolent djinn, especially if they include dark figures, sleep paralysis, or recurring terrifying scenarios. When we say a dream is from Shaytan, we do not mean to imply Shaytan created it. This rather means that the cause behind it is Shaytan tampering with and attacking a person.
Now we flip to the other end of the spectrum and discuss all the worst kinds of dreams, every heart-pounding and freaky nightmare that leave dreamers waking up with their hearts racing and in panic. These dreams are from Shaytan; the work of Shayatin (Devils) whose goals are to throw off and disturb your peace of mind. Among the castes and classes of demons is "Al-Jathoom" (The Incubus). Some know them as "Al-Kaboos" which literally translates to "The Nightmare", given their role in spiritually and psychologically attacking people and inducing fear, nightmares and panic attacks. Djinn are supernatural beings, created with abilities that are beyond human. This devil is said to skulk into the room of its victims with the intent to cause psychological and emotional harm and distress. This devil is often called 'incubus' is the nightmare that comes while one is sleeping. Some contemporary physicians call it "sleep paralysis", and former and contemporary physicians have spoken about it. They said that it is due to physical causes in most cases and it might be due to other reasons. Ibn Seena said in his book Al-Qaanoon (the Law): "Chapter on Incubus: It is called the suffocator and it can be called in Arabic Al-Jathoom, ..... it is a disorder in which a person feels when they are in the first stage of sleep that a perceived heavy thing falls on them, squeezes them and constricts their breathing, so one loses their ability to speak or move. They almost suffocate due to the blocking of the pores of their body, and when it leaves the person, they suddenly becomes attentive, and it is an introduction to one of the three illnesses: either epilepsy or stroke, or mania. That is if it was due to congested matters and not due to other non-physical reasons..."
Nightmares that may have a spiritual origin often include:
Seeing shadowy or dark figures
Experiencing sleep paralysis or a heavy malevolent presence
Recurring frightening dreams in the same location
Hearing unintelligible whispers
Feeling intense fear or physical pressure upon waking akin to a foreign presence in the same room or space
However! It is possible to protect one's self from such harmful attacks from such devils and dream demons!
Abu Qataadah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) had once said "The good dream is from Allah while the bad dream is from the devil (Shaytan). So, if any of you has a dream that he fears, he should spit on his left and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, for it will not cause him any harm." (Al-Bukhari / and Sahih Muslim, Book 29, Hadith 5616) This hadith emphasizes the importance of seeking refuge from evil in dreams and the belief that good dreams come from Allah, while bad dreams are attributed to the devil.(Caused by - not created by).
The Prophet also instructed us not to share nightmares with one another as it had no divine benefit and may spread fear and worry. Furthermore, believers are encouraged to seek protection before sleep through adhkar (remembrance of Allah) and Quranic recitations. Reciting Āyat al-Kursī before sleeping to appoint a divine protector; an angel/malak who watches over you as you sleep, and reciting the last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah, which the Prophet recommended for nightly protection.
Nightmares in Islam are not divine messages but disturbances from Shaytan and harmful Djinn. Believers are advised to seek refuge in Allah, follow prophetic guidance, and engage in protective spiritual practices to safeguard their sleep and maintain peace of mind. And Allah knows best.
