I’m not sure if I like the idea of “walking the path of loneliness”… Besides, if we walk it together, then we won’t really be lonely, right?
( In spite of the inherent flaws of the concept Hiro was presenting, Nemesis was interested. She was completely unaware of his punishment, so she decided to stick around for a little while longer. )
The producer can’t get angry at you for slacking off if it’s my fault, right? Besides, you look tired. How about I take over for a sec and start singing, and you can take a breather. If anyone asks, just say I forced you out.
“ I... I... I suppose you’re right about that.. ”
His usual smirk grew into a shy sheepish grin. Hiro couldn’t argue that the purpose of a “path of loneliness” would be defeated if he “walked it” with another person. In truth, he was just trying to sound impressive and never truly puts too much thought into the things he says.
“ A true anti-hero doesn’t rest until his true strength is achieved by training..! ”
Being... Hiro, the past few days where fueled by nothing but his mental prowess and his stubborn pride, putting himself to more work than the punishment even required. But even he (Or should I say, especially he) couldn’t go on forever. Attempting to hide his fatigue, he searched his mind for an excuse to at least allow himself a moment of peace.
“ B-But.. Rest and honing one’s mind is also essential to a strong and unkillable hero...! Besides... The chains that bind me are to be lifted soon.. Going home probably wouldn’t be a crime.. ”
He collected his things, and curved his lips into a forced smile. Waving at his new friend as he hung in the doorway, leaning his back to the frame.
“ I like the way you think Nemesis, true rebellious souls should stick together..! Farewell, and uh..! We shall practice together soon I hope! ”
