“okay, that is wicked cool.”
bcrtonhawk:
“Careful. I don’t remember if I put my explosive-tip arrows in that bag or not. Or was the acid tipped arrows.. Shit, I dunno.”
“I feel like...this is illegal. Somehow...”
katychens:
“Is kung-fu better than parking cars? I’m not a mixed martial artist so I can’t say, but I’m really damn good at parking cars.”
“How are you at flight though - I could always use some pointers.”
xmoonsilk:
“A lot changed for me after Pleasant Hill. Mentally, physically.. There’s definitely been some sort of reality shift.”
“Have you...spoken to anyone about this? I know there are a few SHIELD issued counselors on hand. Maybe I could - send someone your way?”
destroyrofworlds:
“They’re not actual earthquakes coming out of my hands. Technically it’s vibrations.”
“What’s the weirdest thing you figured out you could do with your powers? And no, that’s not what I meant - keep your mind out of the gutter, okay??”
ladylckis:
“What is this Tik Tok that I keep hearing mortals go on about?”
“Wait - do you even...have a phone? I think that’s the most important element here, actually.”
hardycat:
Felicia stood and waited for her chips to dispense from the machine, but when they got stuck she let out a groan and hit the glass. “The one time I try to pay for something.” She grumbled to herself.
“Maybe don’t admit that to a random stranger?” Joaquin let out a slight chuckle.
capdnvrs:
“At this point, doing anything other than whatever it takes means we’re not doing enough. Not with how things have been going. I’m not someone who can standby and watch that happen.”
“I agree completely. Anyone that refuses to act — has to hold themselves accountable for the consequences of their inaction.”
katprydes:
“You could say that, but it’s a little obvious.” Kate took a swig from her flask. “Don’t you think?”
“Frankly, I don’t know how else to put it. I don’t trust this ‘open door policy’ for the Hellfire Gala. Something bad is bound to happen.”
bloodstne:
“Of course hunting monsters is fun. I love the constant threat of being eaten and/or possessed.”
Joaquin didn’t respond immediately, just blinked slowly and gazed at the floor in shock, “I -”
jckpct:
“Just because someone doesn’t have superpowers doesn’t mean they should be kept out of the loop. I’d like to know when people I love are facing imminent danger.”
“You mean to tell me that isn’t just...a benefit that comes automatically with dating a superhero? Wow. I get why you’re pissed.”
medusaliiths:
“With the state of affairs at the moment, it’s only a matter of time before things escalate.”
“There’s a number of things we should be concerned about right now. What’s the highest on your list?”
piixiies:
“Of course I was a little scared about dying for the first time, but it was super easy. Can’t remember a day, but hey! I’d take it over being dead.”
“What was it like? Dying? I mean, if you don’t mind me asking.”
itsmjcnes:
“I’m doing a thing at Empire, so if anyone wants to give me a statement about how shitty things have been, please feel free to.”
“I don’t know if I have permission to speak on behalf of the Air Force,” Joaquin carded a hand through his hair, “Maybe I can direct you to one of my superiors?”
marvelatme:
“Would I be jinxing it if I said that I have faith that things might get a little bit better?”
“Yes, one hundred percent. And I’d never forgive you for that,” he joked, tone flat despite the grin tugging at the edges of his lips.
bbombshells:
“C.R.A.D.L.E. said a lot of stuff in the ReEducation Center, and — I don’t know. I agreed to go on the news in support of them because they showed me that we have a lot to apologize for. We need them to keep us in check.”
Joaquin listened intently, eyeing the girl with worry. He didn’t quite know Lana all that well yet, but from what he had heard, she had changed. Likely against her will. “Come on, that’s not true,” he shrugged off the comment, expression soft and understanding, “–we’re human. We make mistakes.”
marvelgiirls:
“I get why everyone’s talking about the Gala. It is exciting, especially considering that it’s the first time those who aren’t mutants are allowed on the Island.”
“I’ve already been bombarded by a few people about it. Now I’m starting to think I might be missing out,” Joaquin let out a weak chuckle.
