been on tumblr since middle school but currently moving my personal posting about robots and vcrs and whatever off of twitter and over to here.

i'm a 23 year old weird thing into working on robots and robot documentation, collecting, digitizing, and preserving dead media formats, and other random stuff hardly anybody else is interested in. if you were on a high school robotics team 20-30 years ago i probably have photos of your old robots here. if you are interested in some of my video tapes i have internet archive accounts of full tape rips as well as youtube channels for individual commercials and longer-form rips and a very much in progress site with vcr and videocassette info. i also collect all sorts of vintage electronics including 80s computers and all sorts of audio gear, calculators, typewriters, printers... all kinda of junk. also very into plarail and similar train toys, my collection of which is also very in the progress of being documented on my site.

i bought a small hand drill to see if it would work to drill small rivets out of plastic and it included a moustache sticker

Gonna be autistic for a second but I think this is really good packaging design.

Both sides are identical, it very clearly communicates that it is a wall wire, it's coiled and you can see both an illustration and the exact shape of the port, the order and highlighting of the information is in a meaningful order with different levels of emphasis (like length).
