Got to say, I started off not really being a fan of Peter Capaldi at all as the Doctor. One reason was because he replaced my favourite Doctor, Matt Smith, and secondly, I just didn’t like the first two series he was in. I, personally, thought the writing was poor and the stories centred too much on Clara rather than the Doctor and finding out his new personality. 

However, his last series has been brilliant. Bill and Nardole have made the stories more like how Doctor Who should be: about him, and his companions come in and add to the story, not take over. 

I will actually be sad to see Peter go this Christmas. :(
