“But of course. Oh, I don’t know. I stopped counting ages ago. I’m sure I’m worth more than you, though~”
“Even though I’m the only one of us that hasn’t been pushed around like a used hand-me-down? Cocky, aren’t you?”
faamulus:
The corner of his mouth twitched in irritation at the other’s comment, though he did his best to maintain a smile. “Of course it is. Everything’s a good look on me, after all.”
“Oh? So cool now are we? I bet chains looked good on you, too. How many hands have you been fed by? How much are you even worth now?”
faamulus:
“No… I suppose not. It’s just… it’s been so long…”
“Hoh? You look like you’ve been thoroughly tamed. It’s a good look for you, Sinbad.”

“… Fatima…? Is it… really you?”
“Ah? Do you think it’s someone else?” He asked coldly, raising a brow.
fxnalis:
An appointment, huh? How annoyingly stubborn. “That kid will get more than enough chances to talk to me.” Once Rohroh manages to drag him out of here.
Hearing that there were even more children being kept as slaves here… urgh, it made him furious. And Roh had never been the best in controlling his bad temper. He stomped on the ground angrily, and one would almost think of him as a child throwing a tantrum, if it wasn’t for the floor tiles cracking underneath the pressure and the earth starting to shake with the impact. “That woman. Here. Now. Unless ya want me to tear down the entire place.”
“But you’re gonna hurt the children! I’ll be punished if I don’t get you to properly meet her!” Fatima stated desperately. “Please don’t do this, I don’t want to anger her, if she realizes you won’t do this properly....I don’t want to think about it...” He hated to speak of her this way, but, hopefully it would work.
“Please, I beg of you, just come in....”
Puts a bag over his head
“Ah!! H-hey!! Get that off o’ me!!” This was hardly funny, whoever was doing this.
sharrarxrasas:
He eagerly followed after him, wanting to see Madura so badly, almost not believing it when he saw her sitting there.
“It really is her….” He softly said, in awe, too shocked to even approach her.
Fatima nodded, watching as Lady Maader smiled at them, waving softly at the two. “She is beautiful, isn’t she? And so amazing.” He sighed softly, patting the other’s shoulder. “She’s just so radiant and wonderful...”
titusofreim:
As they came to the garden titus was surprised, sure that they’d be having the meeting inside somewhere. When Fatima announced him, more or less he kept walking, passing the salve. His attention was focused on the woman.
“Hello.” he said, his tone not the most friendly but not rude either. He had to tread carefully.
Fatima was about to speak, to argue that his tone was unworthy, but Lady Maader raised a hand gently, her smile never faltering. So he stood back, keeping to himself, though his face clearly showed his displeasure.
“You must be Titus.” The woman spoke gently, voice soothing. “I have heard you wanted to speak to me about a Child?”
fxnalis:
Lady Maader… becoming her child… He was not really sure if he truly understood, but he got that these people knew about a Fanalis kid… Guh, this made him mad. He knew he shouldn’t get into trouble and act without the Captain’s permission, but just the thought made his stomach churn.
“That Maader person, she’s yer owner? I’d rather meet her.” And quickly get rid of her. It wouldn’t be his fault if some accident happened, right?
“I can’t guarantee if she’ll see you without an appointment of some sort..but if you hang around long enough you’re bound to cross her path at least once. And Masrur would be excited to see you, I think.” Come on...just a little bit more and he’d have this man so very close to where he wanted him.
“But some of the other kids might ask you to pick them up, they like to have Masrur hold up a big rock while they sit on it. It’s amusing to watch I guess, but it doesn’t make much sense to me.”
fxnalis:
A slave. It was obvious, seeing the metallic collar around his neck. It made Rohroh feel sick, each time he saw one of those pitiful people, because it reminded him of his own pitiful past. At least this brat seemed to be well-fed and clean.
“Isn’t it obvious?” He was a bit surprised, after all not many people knew about the Fanalis, but perhaps this kid had met one of his brethren before. It wouldn’t be too strange, sadly. “Don’tcha have work to do, brat?”
“I have never seen one fully grown before.” He admitted, curiously looking the man over. “Masrur is smaller than me, still a child, but he’s very strong and is a gladiator for Lady Maader’s amusement since he refuses to become her Child.” This man seemed to be in good condition, healthy and very well off. “Adults are a lot stronger than kids are, right? Do...you want to meet him?” Maybe he could trap him somehow...if he got this man into their home, surely they had something to use on him...
fxnalis
Fatima looked up at the man with awe, both concern and determination crossing his features. This man resembled one of the slaves Lady Maader had with her, the gladiator, Masrur. He knew instantly that he would not make a good child, but if captured correctly, he would make an excellent slave. Still, he had to be absolutely sure.
“...Are you...by any chance, a Fanalis?”
seagull caws softly as it lands on the male's shoulder. he saw he had food and he wanted it.-{feed-or-die}
Fatima took a bite out of his sandwich and glanced to the bird on his shoulder. Raising a brow, he lifted the sand which up so the weird bird could reach it.
titusofreim:
Titus chose not to comment, realizing he should of never threatened the other. He was scared, worried and due to his emotions and care for his daughter he was losing sight of how to act and was resulting back to his old ways.
He followed behind Fatima, rolling his eyes as the other spoke. Talk, talk, talk, talk. He wished the other would just shut up. Even so he remained silent, fearing that he might lose his temper again if he tried to deal with this brat of a slave. “Just take me to your mother.” he said, his tone flat, even as he kept up with the other’s strides.
He stops moving once they reach the destination. A small garden that seemed to be lacking any real buildings or maintenance, the flowers growing wildly around the small area. “This is him.” He announced calmly, gesturing toward Titus. The tall woman paused her looking through the flowers and smiled at the Magi, a small child settled in the grass next to her.
“That is My Lady Maader.” Fatima adds, now talking to Titus.
singleearthserpent:
“I’ve never heard of those things,” she said. “What are they?” If she’d had any sense she would have left when the other boy had shown up, but her curiosity had always gotten her into trouble and now seemed to be no exception.
“Then maybe you shapeshifters don’t know much.” he retorted, repeating what she’d said earlier. “Al of those things are normal in this place and almost everyone knows about them. So why don’t you? Where are you from, exactly?”
singleearthserpent:
“Well I can promise you there are a lot of us,” she said. “Shapeshifting is in our blood. There are other kinds too, besides snakes like me. There are birds and tigers and wolves. I guess humans just don’t know much.” She shrugged. “What’s your name? I told you mine so you have to tell me yours.”
“My name is Fatima. Let me ask you something, do you know what a Djinn is? Or a household or a metal vessel?” He asked curiously humoring her but also feeling the need to test the girl’s knowledge.
singleearthserpent:
That was a funny question. Did humans not know about her kind? “I’m a shapeshifter,” she said proudly. “A member if the Cobriana line, the royal family of the serpiente.”
“Hate to break it to you, kid, but the ‘Cobriana Line’ doesn’t exist here. And I’ve never heard of any shapeshifters that don’t use magic of some sort.”
verusrex:
“I can….help myself just fine.” he said, struggling a bit though it was hardly more then squirming a bit.
When he felt the other lean down to press their foreheads together he debated headbutting him, getting ready to do so however before he could the slave leaned forward, his lips meeting Hakuryuu’s. The prince’s eyes went wide and he started to push against Fatima with his free hand, trying to shove him off.
Fatima let himself be pushed back a little, chuckling sadistically. “You taste like blood. It’s good.” He wobbled, lifting the blade and throwing it far to the side as he lost balance, clinging to Hakuryuu’s arm as he did so.
“You taste of despair and hatred.” Fatima continued looking at Hakuryuu almost adoringly, but there was obvious pity inside.
singleearthserpent:
The girl yawned and rubbed her sleepy eyes. “I was just looking for a warm place to nap,” she said. “The rocks here are so nice. I didn’t realize someone lived here.” Actually she hadn’t realized a human lived here. She’d never actually seen one before. She usually stuck close to her older brothers and friends and they stayed well away from any humans, but she’d gotten lost and just wanted somewhere to warm her scales until she could figure out what to do. “And I have a name. It’s Daudrie.”
Fatima debated yelling and telling the girl to get lost...be she seemed unique. Someone Lady Maader might find pleasant. “Daudrie, was it? Tell me, what are you? There is nothing like that here, and you scared the other Children...” Hopefully, if everything goes well enough, he would be able to convince the girl to meet with his master.
