Cooking an evening meal.

Young people had to plan to feed themselves for four meals, lunch, evening, breakfast and lunch again.  

There was a budget of £5/head and all of the food had to be carried and cooked by the group.

The evening meal must be a hot meal prepared using equipment the group carries to the place where they sleep.

The Aim of the Expedition was to find camping arrangements alternative to tents suitable for the weather.

Expedition Training in the Howgills with Tim from the Adventure Incubator.

Drinking fresh rain water from the streams, making fires, cooking toast drinking tea and hot chocolate.  With some map reading and adventure planning thrown in for good measure.

Since our Appreciative Enquiry in 2018 Streetlife have opened their arms to Clothing Donations after #Famsquad identified an easier model to follow that would benefit more Young People than before.

It has lead to more Young People receiving clothes and more opportunities for learning - like this impromptu ironing life skills class.
