āyou canāt forget your mother tongueā okay but have you considered bilinguals and polyglots whose first language isnāt english and whose development during adolescence was shaped by consuming content and media only in english and have ever since viewed that second language, foreign to their own, as a better outlet for their emotions and thoughts? as Yiyun Li said āit is hard to feel in an adopted language, yet impossible in my native language.ā
on a dark & stormy night, there was a creature . & youāre never going to beleive what it did next
it creached
Anyway, stop playing into spoiler culture, you will feel happier I promise.
I'm not saying "just stop getting upset if you get something spoiled". You're in your full right to feel upset and disappointed that you got spoiled something that you wanted to experience firsthand. That's something reasonable to be upset about.
But now that companies have been playing into the whole "avoid spoilers at all costs" thing for the last few years, you really should consider who monetarily benefits from promoting a cultural climate where you feel like you have to consume every media product you're interested in as soon as humanly possible because otherwise every second you spend not having consumed it is a second you spend at risk of having it "ruined" by having something revealed to you. And that should make you question if spoilers really deserve the place they occupy in current pop culture as The Worst Thing That Can Ever Happen To a Piece of Media You Want To Consume.
Like, it's okay. If you get spoiled it's understandable to be mad about it but a story that's worth experiencing is still worth experiencing after you know the Big Twist.
jot that down
Like cryptocurrency is so funny and dumb cause money was already a fake thing but they said weāre gonna make this even faker and even dumber than it already was and its hilarious to me

I love this meme because I think humans 10,000 years ago or 100,000 years ago would also like it
