Mom gave my coworker a ride home: he doesn't have his license either, but he owns a car. His dad is apparently pressuring him to sell the car since it hasn't been used by the coworker in six months (his family has used it). He paid 500 for it, and mom offered him 600. He seemed to be very interested in that offer. Mom's known his family since she was in high school so she is just going to test drive it to decide. She said even if we have to put in 1000 worth of work into it- it'll still be worth it. She's not wrong either. I of course will foot that 600 dollar bill, but mom said she'll pay me for what car I don't choose as my car.

Your boss is not your friend. Your boss is not someone you can trust. Your relationship with your boss needs to be entirely professional.

Do not do your boss favours. No working for free. No doing unreasonable duties. No working outside the hours you state as available.

Do not say anything to your boss. About anything. Keep it work related. They will only use personal information against you.

Know your rights. Know the laws. Your boss will come at you trying to get you to quit like its a favour to you. Its usually because they can’t legally fire you.

Be wary around your coworkers. Some will have no problem passing things along to your boss. Such as your mental health or financial standing

Never offer to pay for anything lost, stolen or broken. Especially if money is missing from the till.

Demand safe working conditions.

Your boss is only there to exploit your labour for profit. Unfortunately you need that labour to sustain yourself. Just be careful.

Your boss will likely act buddy/buddy with you. Let them. But don’t reciprocate. They tell you how they got wasted and are super hungover at work? You tell them how you wish you weren’t such a boring person who goes to bed at 10p every night. They tell you how much they don’t like your co-worker, you tell them that the co-worker tries their hardest.

I wish ~some~ people I knew realized this. I mean my management team is great, but maintaining a professional relationship is so darn important. People tell management such weird things that I wouldn't even tell some of my friends.

I washed my car today, and got reminded that a fucking acorn fell and chipped my windshield. So now I should probably do something about that.

I have driving lessons may 21st and may 22nd. Brenda’s birthday may 22nd. Beach house June 14th until June 25th. Road test June 15th. Jordan’s birthday party June 18th.

Also, my managers had a meeting with other managers in the area to discuss whatever. When my deli manager came back she bounced over to me to say that they discussed me for a bit of the meeting. I was in the middle of making hoagies, and I'm not really interested in knowing what management says about me when together. I knew it was nothing negative because I'm a fantastic worker. I knew I wasn't in trouble because she wouldn't have brought it up while I was on the floor. I've all heard their individual thoughts on me: I'm great and will go far. I acknowledge her comment and said that was cool. And then there was a pregnant pause between us, and she finally said, "wow, you're not even a little worried about what we said?" "No, I'm a good worker and we all know that. I just figured (GM) brought up that I told him I wanted to be a shift runner, and ya'll discussed that." And then she said she was surprised I didn't even consider that I could have been I'm trouble. Lol, like surprised I'm confident in my work. I wouldn't be working towards a promotion if I didn't think I was a good worker.

Wawa has a survey that customers can do, and when a new month starts my store really pushes for them. I *think* we have to get a minimum of 80% positive responses: otherwise, corporate steps in. Workers are encouraged to write their names on the survey paper, so customers mention your name. At my specific store, I think it's every three positive surveys with your name in it means you'll get a goose bump. Register is the best position to get surveys mentioning associates' names, and I haven't been on register much. I'm much more valuable some where else. Deli one, or backup deli is where I've been for a decent chunk of time. We're planning of developing me, so I need to become better in deli. Anyway, last night I covered register for an hour and a half. I pushed surveys like I'm supposed to, and I checked surveys today and I had my name mentioned twice. My managers are going to stick me on register again I know it. I'm the only worker who doesn't need their friends/family doing surveys for them. I'm a natural at getting surveys turned in. I'm really good at being liked. 😂😂😂

On the subject of my new car

Her name is Bertha. She's a 1999 grand marquis. I named her Bertha because she's an old lady car. I don't know if she's actually mine, or if I'm going to buy another car in the coming months and let mom have/buy Bertha. I had to replace one of the front shocks and something to do with the air conditioner on her. I also bought new windshield wipers. I'm looking at new seat covers too, but I haven't found anything I like. I'm not even sure if I need seat covers. When I first looked at my car I thought I saw pulled fabric, but haven't seen anything since. I don't know if it was just seeing things. Once I have my license I want to buy a physical GPS (cause I don't want to upgrade my data plan, and I have zero faith in my sense of direction), a new car radio and a new ipod touch designated for car tones. Mom is against the idea of a new radio since the one installed is a nice one. She doesn't realize that there is no one way to charge electronics in Bertha. The radio that I want to get is only fifty bucks has bluetooth, an aux cable port, and a USB slot. So it fills my music needs, and has a USB port that I can use for charging. Idk, makes sense to me.

Brenda and I are going to see the new Captain America movie on Friday, so I'm going to finally watch the two other ones. Then I might try and watch the other avenger movies.

I bought Parker two new dog crates. I still haven’t put together Bandit’s cat condo. I bought a car I have driving lessons on the 21st and 22nd of May. We didn’t lose the house completely, but we have to pay rent. I got a 95 cent raise at work I’ll be training to become a shift runner sometime after May.

Long time, tumblr.

I’ve been trying to log into my Tumblr since December of 2015. I could not for the life of me figure out the email I used. I tried all my social media emails, my professional email, and my school email. None of them worked, obviously. My ipod touch’s tumblr app is so outdated that it doesn’t show the email linked to the account. So, to still get my Tumblr fix I was using my other tumblr and checking my usual tags. I have the latest tumblr app clearly, and I just noticed on that tumblr the email associated with the account wasn’t the email that was suppose to be on it. Like it’s the same handle as this tumblr’s but on a different email domain. I didn’t even remember making that email, or changing this accounts email address.

Idk, that’s an update for yall.

I bought Parker a ruffwear harness on Black Friday too, and I love it so much. I can't believe it took me so long to finally purchase one. I also got a huge cat condo for fifty bucks for Bandit. I'm very excited.
