Chapter Twelve is up now! Snippet under the cut!!

Eddie gets up and grabs the little box Jonathan dropped off for him earlier and nods toward the sliding door. “Coming, Harrington?” He waves the box in front of him to show Steve, whose brows raise as he nods and gets up to follow Eddie outside. Eddie plops down on the cement by the pool and lights up, taking a long drag. He hands it over to Steve as he sits next to him. Watches as he lets out a breath of smoke. Steve looks over and hands the joint back before shifting and laying back, putting his head on Eddie’s thigh, looking up at him with a dopey grin that Eddie can’t help but return. Just shakes his head and keeps smoking, letting his head drift away for a while. 

Steve eventually tugs on his arm, wanting another hit. Eddie just reaches down and holds the joint in front of his lips, letting him take as much as he likes before popping it back in his own mouth. They’re not really talking anymore. Just…existing together. Eddie watches the slight ripples in the pool, the way the light from the moon shimmers on the surface.
