Just got this today and am excited to try it out!

As time has passed, my opinion on games that I didn't previously like very much has changed.

When Danger by Design first came out, I thought that the end was ridiculous and that really tainted how I felt about the rest of the game. Now, I still think it's ridiculous, but in a fun way rather than being irritated by it.

I hadn't liked how puzzle-heavy Ransom of the Seven Ships was, and how few suspects there were. Though, I do go back to that game now if I'm in the mood to play for a little while and not deal with long conversations with suspects.

It makes me realize that I really enjoy a good majority of the games now, and that maybe I was too critical at the time they came out because it wasn't exactly what I wanted at the time.

Except the Shattered Medallion. I'm still not a fan of that one.

I think what makes the Nancy Drew games so great is the music. The music matches each game so perfectly. The Haunted Carousel music makes me feel like I’m really at an amusement park. Shadow at the Water’s Edge has the perfect mix of Japanese and creepiness in its music. You FEEL like you’re at each location. I think the music might be my favorite part of the games (might be a tie with the characters).

Sophia Lillis (It, Tiny Mammals) will star as Nancy Drew in Warner Bros’ Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Kleeman, and Chip Diggins are producing.

Nancy Drew, in the original series of books, is a 16-year-old amateur sleuth who lives with her father (Carson Drew) and housekeeper (Hannah Gruen) in River Heights. She is often joined on her mysteries and adventures by her friends Bess Marvin and George Fayne.

Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase is the second Nancy Drew book and was ghostwritten by Mildred Wirt Benson in 1930 and revised in 1959 by Harriet Adams. All Nancy Drew novels are published under the pseudonym Carolyn Keene.
