Happy Halloween, Clue Crew!
Anyone else having like...game burnout? Like, you go to play one of the older games you know you love, but you find yourself going through the motions?
Like "yes yes, I'll solve the sudoku puzzle. Yes yes, I'm putting butter in the lock to trap a child in her bedroom. I'll be sure to ask Clara about her mommy issues just as soon as I get this starburst shape traced." And you just know exactly what'll happen and what you have to do, that it's pretty much the movie Groundhog Day, and you're just doing everything all over again with no change?
Anyone have a solution for that? Or game recommendations maybe?
honestly, for me, i just have to listen to my burnout and say, “yes, okay. it’s time to step away for a little bit.” and i’ll go months, maybe even over a year sometimes, without playing any of the games, and that’s okay! i might play other video games instead, or focus on a few hobbies i’d previously set aside due to THEIR burnout. i try not to force it, because one day out of nowhere the URGE hits once more and i’m ready to play all the games again!
A SCENARIO
When asking for Charleena's autograph, you recieve the following dialogue choice:
[A] "If you could have it written out, 'To Fatima,' with an 'F,' that'd be great."
[B] "If you could have it written out, 'To Phatima,' with a 'PH,' that'd be great."
You select the second option, despite Fatima's explicit instructions. You return to the museum with the signed autograph.
Now your head is merely one more coconut broken by the pick ax.
Second Chance.

Going back and replaying TRT, I can without a doubt say:
Ezra Wickford SUCKS
The way he treated Dexter as a kid was not okay. Love for your adoptive children is not conditional, just like love for biological children isn't conditional. Wickford not only wrote his son out of his will, but he LEGALLY UNADOPTED HIM. That is seriously not okay!
Dexter was a kid when he went off track, barely 18. Granted, the counterfeiting is bad, but I gotta wonder why he turned to counterfeiting in the first place? Maybe because his dad was so angry about him having taken 50 dollars without asking?
Sure, he should have asked. But 50 dollars is nothing to a dude like Wickford. So why did Dexter feel like he had to steal it in the first place? And why was Wickford so angry about it? There must have been some deeper tensions going on.
Regardless, parenthood is not something you can just take back if your kid doesn't live up to your expectations. But Wickford did. And later, when he regretted it and missed his son, who rightfully hates him now, he didn't try to reach out. He didn't try to restore parenthood, or write Dexter back into his will (he could have left Dexter the castle! Instead all he "left" was a medallion that is worth at most probably 10k, and is useless without the other two). He just wrote a poem saying how sad and sorry he was, then hid the poem in a place he KNEW DEXTER DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT. So that Dexter would never find it. I just don't get that.

I am absolutely LOSING IT over the image of John Grey being SUPER into his readings when he hears something through his headphones. He takes them off, glances over, and finds Nancy madly playing with the Camptown Races music box game like
👋👁👄👁
I almost forgot to upload something today, here is most of an August 2008 newsletter that served as an advertisement and can be found at this link.
I find it ridiculous and also inter, thus why it's going onto my blog despite not being exactly a behind-the-scenes thing.
not only is this horrendous on the eyes, there’s also like 3 typos
Did... did anyone else see this?
I'm just dying. Who are these people? Why do they bring cosplay up at all?? Why does the lady at the end have a wig on in the mirror but NOT in real life??? Who even works for their advertising department anymore????
why does the guy look more animated than a real person
i just found out i didn’t need to lock the door every time i left the ca (where nancy is staying) in ven… i literally always locked it. is this a joke
I have never once in my life locked that door. I never.... I never knew you could 😳
YOU CAN LOCK THE DOOR?!
PARDON YOU CAN LOCK IT??
