obsessed with the au. fuck the skeletons 20000 charas. is it possible to get some more detail on how they feel abt the fallen humans/their kids theyre in denial are their kids
GO MY 10 THOUSAND CHARAS.
anyways yes lmfao here:
AQUA: definitely the hardest, mostly because she was also the first. She's WAYYYY too clingy for their liking, but because she's the first they're still WAY too scared to let her cling to any of their monster family, and thus they kind of become her de facto parental figure. This is not a good combination in any sense of the word. She does not respond well to yelling or discipline in general and chara has too short a fuse to be a gentle parent. it's a constant cycle of arguments and quiet non-apologies from both sides until they both finally figure out how to chill out a little, but neither of them really have a choice in the matter, so they make it work as best they can.
SETH: everyone really expects these two to get along because they're both fucking annoying little know-it-alls. unfortunately chara likes to be the only fucking annoying little know-it-all in the room and also is really really really bad at dealing with someone who is confidently wrong. as mentioned, asriel finds this HILARIOUS. he gets in trouble multiple times for deliberately instigating arguments between them because he figures out really quickly that neither of them will EVER back down once they've taken a side. toriel resorts to secluding them on opposite sides of the house and removing all the dictionaries from her bookshelves.
BLUE: chara really does not fuck with his vibe tbh. WAY too sincere and earnest and vulnerable for their liking. the idea of freely expressing themself in any form makes them physically nauseous. Blue clocks this immediately and attempts to very very gently pry that facade open whenever possible. occasionally it works but mostly it doesn't. Asriel becomes a somewhat valuable tool here because he's simultaneously The Only Person Chara Completely Trusts and also totally down to engineer a Situation. So blue can get him to go "oh come onnnnn chara you're such a good actor PLEASEEEEE be in this musical with us cmonnnnn" and chara will, almost without fail, give it at least one reluctant try. chara is fully aware that they are being manipulated into expressing themself but have yet to find a foolproof way to stop it from happening
YELLOW: the suicide joke was inevitable. But i do truly think that chara would be excited to have a Worse Kid to take the negative attention off them for a while. their parents have spent like 10 years getting really really uncomfortably tense and shooting them concerned looks any time anyone brings up the concept of flowers. finally they can worry about the kid with the revolver instead of chara for once. outside of that i think chara would just kind of. find him boring. it's not fun to mess with a kid that either doesnt understand what you're saying or will actually blow his brains out if you take it too far. they mostly leave each other alone with the exception of chara's occasional interactions with blue, in which yellow is essentially a booby trap for them to dodge because if they say anything too mean someone is going to get hurt lmfao
GREEN: literally nothing bad to say about them. they're kind of chara's ideal sibling in that they're quiet and chill. plus they introduce chara to a world of new uses for chocolate. chara very quickly discovers that they kind of suck at cooking (what do you MEAN you can't use the highest possible temperature for everything???) but they don't really mind just standing by and watching if it means they get something sweet at the end.
ORANGE: in my mind orange is the youngest of the fallen humans by a mile. like 3 or 4 years old tops. chara is NOT a maternal person by any means but sometimes a little baby clinging to you does things to your brain chemistry man. Despite being very young ory is pretty smart and talks a lot, and chara is one of the few people who doesn't talk down to her or otherwise treat her like a baby, which is REALLY important to her. she hates baby talk and she hates being condescended to, and chara, who was pretty much exactly the same way as a kid, has absolutely no problem just talking to her the same way they'd talk to anyone else. They're also weirdly incredibly patient when it comes to explaining things to her, partially because they like being the smartest person in the room and partially because they remember what it was like to be a little kid who nobody ever bothered to think about. The baby will be included in every single conversation and she WILL understand because she deserves to. they will die on that hill
