I don't know if you are aware of this, but google forms allows you to close/open your form whenever you please, so perhaps you should temporarily close it so you can manage the volume better!

we are, but i think for now we want everyone to have the chance to at least apply and we will get to them eventually. it all just takes time! thank you for the suggestion :)
