ive been wanting to draw the phm cast more to get used to em ofc but have been so busy recently it hasnt rly allowed much time for personal stuff... so. behold. work doodles from earlier today ^_^

#project hail mary #doodles #phm #phm rocky #rocktiz #kinda. i put my own spin on him ig.#i also dont subscribe to fully human rocky still cuz i lauve alieonssss so hes a bit funky in his own way. wanna give him a 3rd robot arm #thinking he makes himself a zenonite helmet (his bol) and straps a breathing tank to his back tht be breaths thru a mask in. just incase #theres ever a leak in his helmet...#bodywise he wears layers of insulation to keep his body heat up whilst hes working on building up his own walls to input his atmosphere in #which can be kinda hard to work in/ for long periods of time cuz his tools wont work out there and his eyesight is awful and hes scared of #running out of air and- so its mostly for emergencies ^_^#was mainly thinking up ways to get around ppl who were writing/drawing away/ignoring all the things that cause complications #like i saw some ppl being like “idk how fishing would work if he was human-like”. Easy.#just keep him unable to breathe oxygen. bro would start choking on the smoke in his multiple lungs catching fire which would then cause his #body to start collapsing from the inside alongside his temperature rapidly cooling causing shivers and loss of motor functions.#his air + suit would take too long to get to and take too long to put on plus hes like. fighting gravity himself so #he would have to kick out one of the zenonite panelings to get to grace. do the whole transport thing and then drag himself back into his #own airlock. if you go by movie standards. book standards he just cant make it cuz hes suffocating and unable to function so grace drags hi #the rest of the way (adrenaline babeyyyyyyyyy) and then gets the ammonia burns. win win.#boom. all ur problems are solved and they can continue as normal with another human sized guy in there.#i still prefer the eridians ofc since thats the whole point of the. everything. but is a fun brain exercise to think abt the possibilities

after experiencing all the shitty eridians tumblr has been so wonderfully providing us all it reminded me i thought up. i guess the opposite? of a shitty eridian? the other day when daydreaming skghdfkhgdkjgd

the idea being: an eridian thts kind of similar to liek. the great deku tree in the sense thats its reaaaally old and hasn't stopped growing but doesnt really do much because it has essentially become part of the planet...

i was imagining there being a whole cluster dedicated to taking turns watching it sleep because even though it is never awake for long it is still living and eating somehow with scientists still being quite mind boggled about how it even came to live so long, possibly even outliving its parents etc etc ?

it probably has some kind of gigantism gene unique to eridians that hasn't been discovered yet but grace is able to help them figure it out with the thinking machine since its a more known about genetic change on earth than eridani ^_^

am also very fond of the idea that it hasn't woken up again for a good 300 years or so or something but as soooon as grace is able to explore eridani in a specially made suit the guy wakes up and trills a few notes (which it hasnt done in FOREVER !!!) to meet the human alien and say hi just before conking out again. and all the eridians are like. WHAT !!!

anyway i dont have any physical thoughts in mind for it other than it being an especially dark rock colour and possibly resembling a volcano? so it could also just be made of a volcanic rock ofc but with its heat vents like. working over double time and pushing out a lot of smoke just to be able to regulate such a large body mass... so very volanic in appearance....
