Of course he had to choose the nuggets. The most expensive Happy Meal on McDonalds and he forgets his wallet !
The cashier was looking at him with annoyance as he look on his pockets for more change but kept coming back empty handed.
He smiled at her with his most apologetic charming smile but it did not do the trick.
He was just 50 cents short !!!
Damn university loans. Damn his carving for junk food and specially damn the toy that put him into this situation.
-‘This is ridiculous…’- said a voice behind him and he winced at the obviously annoyed person behind him in the line.
Will was about to turn around and apologize when a hand simply passed next to his hear and at the reach of the cashier.
-’ Make his order two happy meals’- the girl took the money happily and returned the ticket right before moving into the kitchen to prepare it.
Will turned around to look at his savior with a thanks in his mouth, which ended up not coming out because the estranger was a beautiful boy.
Well, maybe boy was not the word for it, he definitely had an air of confidence around him that put him right into the ‘Man ’ category.
Black and fluffy hair , that looked soft enough to make pillows from it . Pale skin with just a hint of olive , as if his natural color had been dying without a constant source of sun light.
And those beautiful beautiful black eyes .
They were looking at him with so much force Will was tempted to give a step back.
Which probably would have been the sane thing to do.
-'Thank you , you really saved me there ’- he smiled and extended his hand -’ My name is Will’- the beautiful estranger just kept looking at him without expression and just nodded, ignoring his extended hand .
Will did not let that persuade him.
-'What’s your name ?’-
-’ Does it matter ? Look I am not going to chase you forever just for 59 cents you don’t have to do this ’-
Will frown , confused .
-’ Do what ?’-
The mysterious guy opened his mouth to answered but the cashier was faster.
-'Thanks for waiting ! There you go ’-she just passed the meals to them and move on to the next costumer.
Will took the food rather clumsy and move to a near by table. The guy just looked at him with annoyance but he sat and took his box to inspect the toy.
Will decided to do the same and he was happy to find the Hades figurine on his meal. He heard a disappointed singh from the estranger as he looked at his Apollo figurine. Will smilled and just pushed his toy to him.
He looked up and for the first time those eyes seemed young, instead of angry or annoyed.
Will pushed the toy again and he took it softly.
He could have sworn there was a little blush on his face.
