every time i comment on an ao3 fic i'm pretty sure it's incomprehensible gibberish. but if i can bring joy to one (1) author's day or make even just one author feel inspired, i am happy.

Has this man ever read his own books???? I know the whole "we used the Fandom wiki for the show" thing which is already such a big yikes, but it feels like he's not even doing THAT. Like he just needs to hire one (1) fan who has the encyclopedic knowledge of the books to read through his stuff!! But I wouldn't be surprised if he did have someone but they weren't willing to say no to him or he just didnt listen.

Also the world is big enough! He can just write a book with entirely new characters and not have to worry about character lore from a dozen years ago that he clearly doesn't like/wants to retcon

He used to say he didn’t reread the books and he used the wiki, I think with this new upcoming book saga he changed the tune about rereading, but I think he didn’t reread and it was his cowriters the ones who did but its really obvious he hasn’t. There are also scenes in chalice that 100% contradict the previous books but wrath was the worst offender (so far)

He changed editors after PJO and it really shows in the quality of his books and if I am not mistaken his current editor said she doesn’t need to edit the books that much because his drafts are always good (???????) or something like that.

Like dude, you are a very wealthy person, probably a millionaire since he owns houses in at least Boston and NYC, he can definitely afford to pay someone to read his book and create a pjo bible with timelines and everything. But I guess if he does that he would have to stop writing his money grab shitty new books.

Riordan also HATES being criticized and called out, to the point thats why he stopped allowing comments in his social media and left the internet for a while. The number of times he has used his books to clap back at fans is insane, so I am assuming he wouldn’t react well to be told plots don’t work with his own canon.
