I’m also going to see how much the nursery nearby wants for a few feet of the cacti they have there (they need to be trimmed anyway, they’re brushing the top of the geenhouse). It’s either Echinopsis pachanoi or Echinopsis peruviana. Either way, I want 2-3 feet to transplant. Hopefully they can match the price I found online, 30-40$ but you know. Without the hefty shipping cost!))

Just a note on character resistance...

Just because my muse resists something, doesn’t mean I don’t want you to do it. I’ll happily let my muse be abused in many ways. But that doesn’t mean I’m just gonna have them roll over, especially if they’re fairly powerful. But don’t take their resistance as a sign that I want you or your muse to stop.

I’m making this because I sometimes feel like people think when my muse resists, it’s a sign for them to back off. It’s not. If I am not comfortable with something, I’ll tell you OOC. If I said go for it, I mean just that.

On the flip side, if my muse is ever being too difficult, please, let me know, and I’ll do my best to correct that.

Shit, he didn’t meant to get caught sneaking around where Bod usually resides. He’s just been...scoping the area out. Yeah. Totally normal thing to do to check for actual threats in the area, being a warboy with responsibility after all. Nevermind Slit’s taken a sand bath today (wash day isn’t for about another week or so, and essentially sandpapering your grime off works pretty efficiently) and maybe also wiped down with some guzz so he doesn’t reek like last week’s garbage. ...chicks love car smell, right?

But okay, Slit’s been caught, so he stands up from where he is, behind a rock, dusts his cargos off, and tries to look like he was naturally supposed to be there. Thankfully, the fresh clay paint and black grease hide any physical signs to the contrary (like those burning, traitorous ears of his). “Been doin’ warboy stuff, y’know? Important things. Bein’ useful and blowin’ up buzzards,” he says, crossing his thick, scarred arms over his chest and looking down at the woman standing near.

Slit’s pupils narrow, gums itching something fierce. Even behind the cloying stench of flowers, he can smell the iron tang of blood like a goddamn shark in a feeding frenzy. It hits him hard, makes his mouth water and fingers clench into his palms, slicing into the flesh. He drips old blood sluggishly, the odour of spoiling fluid mixing with the flowery smell of the shop outside of the door.

“Fuck yeah, I want it. Might even be arsed to go out now t’sate it. I’ll make sure t’come back with their skin still danglin’ from my lips. Probably won’t taste good as yer’s though,” he further taunts, pressing his forehead against the glass door to stare directly at Lionne’s face. The blue in his sun damaged eyes is almost too sharp and saturated. He’s pissed.

Slit makes sure the next time he passes Lionne in the tunnels, he has an old dirty bottle of Ace’s rotgut in hand. He double makes sure that she sees him tonguing the neck and opening lewdly while sucking the alcohol down (trying not to choke on the horrid concoction), just so he can spray her with it when they’re close to each other.

He quickly retreats, flipping Lionne off with both hands like the classy gentleman he is.
