   I always THOUGHT  about this, about how Ayame feels about Shigure. I don’t think he could ever take the truth about him & still love him like he does ….. so in other words —- I don’t think he knows the truth, the dark secrets, something that both he and Hatori made sure not to burden the snake with.   Growing up with Shigure, Aya grew use to the novelist’s foul remarks and slight teasing, but Aya never really took it to heart because that’s just who the dog was. While he stood by ADMIRING Hatori to death, Shigure was always and forever will be his absolute best friend.   Even if the WHOLE world would turn against Shigure, he had promised to be there for him.    Shigure encourages Aya now days to fill that gap between he and  Yuki ( — even if at times Aya over does it, ‘Gure takes all his strength to still TRY and be there for — eh — moral support of sorts & Ayame EXTREMELY appreciates it because he needs all the support and well wishes he can get. ALTHOUGH, he may have all the confidence in the world to do absolute anything, Shigure usually pulls him back to his humanity a little bit even if he can’t REALLY boss him around.  )     His heart is filled with LOVE for Shigure, rather it be emotionally, physically , platonically — what have you.

I think I’ll make more of announcement here because it’s WAY more appropriate but now that I’m dating the beautiful and wonderful @hatori-sohma I think the whole world deserves more Hatori & Ayame content one of these days ... when I am not struggling to write on one of my blogs let alone blog hop like I use to.   I’m one of the luckiest people in the whole world. Let me tell you, October was hell for me but she got me through it and in the end I couldn’t hold my feelings in anymore and I just melted into a puddle. I’m so fucking happy, ya’ll.

You mentioned Ayame having opinions related to akigure's relationship; I'd love to hear what you think would go through his mind when he sees them together.

/ So full disclosure this is all according to my perfect dream land scenario and HEADCANON ………. like …. opinion only. But, basically for starters, Aya’s relationship to and feelings regarding Akito are pretty … indifferent. Ayame has been one of if not THE most independent zodiac member who’s made a life for himself apart from the curse and apart from the family. He just dipped from the estate when he could / wanted to, started his own business, and has this girlfriend who KNOWS about the curse and it’s all under wraps. Ayame has established that he’s not afraid of Akito however we can infer that there IS a touch of respect there because Akito is one of the few Aya will prepare tea for, and at the end of the day Ayame is still a zodiac and Akito is still God. (Though I’m pretty sure it was confirmed that Akito doesn’t care for Aya and his energy much…). So their relationship is arguably one of the most estranged as far as Akito’s influence on her zodiac goes. 

SECONDLY, this convo kind of came up with @fangedsnake who’s take is everything to me: under the impression that Aya is well aware of the darker nuances of Shigure’s personality and his feelings for and intentions regarding Akito, Aya would just kind of be like, “…why her?” He’ll respect his friend’s desires and wishes as Shigure is so near and dear to him but I am SURE Aya is just like … you know when your het friend gets into another relationship with a partner where it’s like “why them???? you could do better? I don’t see where this is coming from?” like that. 

Lastly, we never really see Aya’s take on Akito’s reconciliation with the rest of the zodiac, and presumably he’s just… in his own lane and cool as a cucumber about it??? But Akito is still the one responsible for Yuki’s torment and Hatori’s eye injury so for Aya to let Akito “off the hook” just like that is um … I’m not really buying it. 

So for his best friend to romantically pursue and marry Akito of all people? Aya would be civil but I can’t shake the feeling he’d be like, “really?” about it.

Some time after taking over for his mother as the manager of the Sohma family’s osen, Ritsu came down with a terrible case of WALKING PNEUMONIA. Because he was staying at the osen for several days a week, by the time he came home, he couldn’t climb the apartment stairs. Instead, Ayame found him sitting, asleep on the staircase. Slouched against the wall with a fever of 39C. Despite Hatori being called, concern over his [ kidney function ] did see him carted to the local hospital for a few hours. Ultimately, he was released into Ayame’s attentive care with Hatori tasked with following up.

       While the other was RESTING within their bed, he read over the written instructions that Hatori had given him ( --- just in case, you know --- he had forgotten. WHICH, of course, would be something he did do just by being told what to do wasn’t enough. )  With the paper he was also given bottles of medication that the other had to take at specific time --- mainly for the fever in case it didn’t go down.  For now, sitting on the edge of the mattress & BEING there seemed to be the only thing he could do.Placing the palm of his forehead against the other’s skin, reaching for the cool cloth near by that was within the bowl on the counter. Ringing the water so it was sopping, he folded it into thirds and set against Ritsu’s jawline, guiding the towel upward near the temples.   This was PROBABLY a mistake to take the other back home, as he hated seeing the other laying there in a hospital bed, but he knew that he could take care of him --- even though own hands were SLIGHTLY shaking.

        “ I beg your pardon ---- I was distracted by what you were wearing, what did you say?”       NOT the first time that happened and certainly will not be the last.   Perhaps that was being a little rude but people would consider him rude clearly because all he seemed to talk about was himself. It SOMEHOW wound up about himself, anyway. The strong desired need to fix someone up only to consume them with facts as to what he knew OR the entire theory of colors. Grabbed a hold of the other’s collar, he brushed it off with well manicured nails and tried to get the nice angle to figure out the color. Aya didn’t kow VERY much of personal space --- & this was making it more obvious. / @blondescout

    “  Can I have a name for your order, my dear lad ?”       Miné  was taking a PERSONAL day with family so it was just him & one other new worker in the shop today whom was too occupied stocking shelves. The BOSS knew well about anything so people tended to ask him questions and he had no problem multitasking as he should be.  With a smile nearly hours on end, he paid no mind to the fact that his cheeks hurt or his stomach was roaring with hunger. He had to get these costumers in and out as fast as he could. Considering it was CLOSE to lunch time, he sure was determined to get them out before they too complained on being too hungry.   A hand placed on his chin, finger tips stroking jawline while he looked at the stranger from the tip of his toes to the top of his shoulders ---- certainly there wasn’t anything that READ his personality on the waiting list; but he couldn’t judge anyone by the fabric.  / @sincerecaptain

   “ R-RIGHT!” Tohru exclaimed with a tad too much exuberance, making a sharp squeak as the vowel of the word sounded out. In an almost frantic motion, Tohru began gathering the snake’s personal belongings, making sure to fold the clothing nicely as to make for an easier load to carry. Once finished with his personal belongings, Tohru knelt down to offer Ayame her arms, not quite sure what he would prefer. Under her breath she sighed, “I still can’t believe how much of a klutz I can be…”

       Neither could he, honestly --- but Tohru was Tohru & there was no use on changing her. ( --- not that anyone could, anyway. ) he quickly snuggled within her arms and hurried to slither under sleeves and proceeded toward the middle of her chest. Making sure that AT LEAST her undershirt was between him and her skin. The warmth on being close to her this way was GOOD enough.         “  Well, as long as you’re not hurt I suppose it all is well. I wouldn’t really know how to HANDLE the fact that I somehow hurt you. But, considering with the state of how you are now  ----  you’re quite alright. You’re warm, walking & you sound focused, so I am not worried.”             Regardless of all that, his concern for Honda was genuine, she was a princess to the Sohma boys after all.  His brother would have his head on a platter if Tohru somehow wound up hurt in anyway while he was around her.

Like, I love how loyal Ayame is to Hatori- the servitude and unwavering admiration is so lovely and pure, but can you IMAGINE if the roles were switched and Aya was that devoted to Shigure’s sus ass…? 

Even when Hatori may be in the wrong, Ayame shouts his innocence from the rooftops and I wonder what Shigure could potentially use that power for. I think we should all be grateful and have a moment of silence for the terror that would’ve been Ayame chomping at the bit to defend our resident motherfucker, honestly. >_>
