Kinn had heard a lot of awful things in his life, but this was second only to the announcement that his mother had died.

“What?” Korn finally looked up at him. “That one,” he pointed at Pete, “has been a faithful bodyguard for years and has acquitted himself quite well, and that one,” he pointed at Porsche, “is the best one we’ve gotten in a long time. Breed them. Their offspring will be a good one for the next generation.”

sometimes you start writing fic just...eons ago and you clearly know at the time who your big bad is gonna be and have a physical description of them, and then years later when you come back to the fic you just stare at it and have no idea who in the show this description matches.

I just wanted to write drug-addict Wei Wuxian and I ended up writing Wei Wuxian who uses drugs and sex as a coping mechanism and isn't strictly a drug addict, but he does swear a lot.
