One of my students and a few of his teammates enter the dairy aisle. 

My student is holding hands with one of his teammates. 

My student: Oh hey, Professor X!

Me, who has both my student and his girlfriend in my class: …Hello

My student, looking at his hand-holding partner: Oh! Don’t worry. My girlfriend knows. Not that I’m cheating! I’m not cheating. I’m not gay.

Hand Holding boy: Not that being gay is a bad thing! It’s a good thing!

My student: Right! But no, listen. We aren’t together, we just hold hands in public sometimes.

Hand Holding Boy: Especially on Friday nights. And weekends. And at away games.

My student: Because sometimes people will say shit and then we can punch them! And if the fight started because someone was being homophobic, coach won’t get mad at us.

Hand Holding Boy: Always nice to punch a homophobe. And [gesturing to another boy in the group] maybe they’ll think twice about saying something to [other boy’s name] if he ever gets a boyfriend and wants to hold his hand for real. But that’s the whole point of being a brash adult. Tons of times when your mouth moves faster than your brain and morals, you have to have that apology on speed dial.

Sotus S

So I had an issue with it. I had to give myself a two-day break in between episode 5 and the remaining episodes, why, You ask?

I will tell you why. These two adorable snuggle buddies have been dating, nay not dating, they were lovers for 3 years (according to them) and they were still acting like they were still new to the fact that they shared feelings for each other. I mean if not for the special episodes I would have no clue that they were actually a thing.

So I took some time to think and watched Saturday Church (If you have not seen it, then go see it. Young love and music and drag and voguing and whooo, it touched all my gay buttons) And that’s when I realized I am looking at the show expecting my culture to be reflected in their show and I am not even an accurate reflection of my culture (which is Nigerian btdubs) so what gives me the right to assume that they should act the way I want them to act.

After chastising myself, and coming to the realization that these guys are just not showy, well P’Arthit is not showy and the guy that has fallen head over heels in love with him, Kongpob is perfectly okay with him the way he is. And the love that they have for each other is theirs and theirs alone so Tobi (that’s me) shut the fuck and enjoy the telling of their love story.

And boy was their love story incredible.

They were sweet, I loved how all the time P’arthit would get flustered over the somewhat suggestive things Kongpob would say, and how he would shyly reaffirm the love he had for him. I know in the special episode with the bicycle scene. Yooooo. That was just *sighs*.

But it wasn’t all good and fun times. They were some hard times, both for the couple and for me, I mean leave 0058 the fuck alone, if he doesn’t want to be a part then do not force him, like yo, it shouldn’t be that deep.

And the Production Department couple. AWWWWW.

But I really do have a question?

Are they that accepting of homosexuality in Thailand. cuz that proclamation of their relationship at the end in the office, had me screaming like YES, THAT IS WHAT YOU DO. THAT IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE. SHOW THAT BOY HOW MUCH HE MEANS TO YOU.

But seriously, if I were to do that here, I would be hella lucky if all that happened was a little light stoning. I for sure thought most if not all Asian countries were hella conservative???

Anyhow, the show was an absolute blast for me. I cannot wait to finish Crossing the Line/Boundary Crossing (seriously what is the actual name for this show) so I can gush all about how sexy glasses is.

Hey everyone, I am Loora.

And I had the exact same problem with Sotus S, but I could totally understand them not being too open about their relationship in public. P’Arthit is not the type to do that and that is perfectly fine.

BUT, they also were really really shy when they were just the two of them and like Tobi said they were in a relationship for 3 years and we saw them kiss like 3 times or so (it was some time since I saw this). Even when they were in their own rooms they never really acted like a couple that was together for 3 years already.

Besides that, I loved Sotus and Sotus S a lot and P’Arthit and Kongpob are the cutest together. Their ‘Our Skyy’ episode was the best and I think it wrapped their story up perfectly, even though I would have loved to see more of those two characters.

Also, Crossing the Line was the best. It’s my absolute favourite bl drama. The HIStory series, in general, is so good.

Chinese Bl Drama: So very dramatic, one probably dies in the end, banned a masterpiece.

Japanese Bl Drama: Fuck yes all the fluff, prob based on manga, vRY ROMANTIC AND CHEESY, weird ass hairstyles.

Thai Bl Drama: eVERYONE IS GAY. Main character has a friend?, give them the gay subplot better yet make the whole squad gay. SO MANY SOUND EFFECTS. Main pair prob tripped and fell on each other. Love triangles for days. Happy ending galore.
