uh rots fix it fic where when obi wan says I loved you, anakin perceives this as a confession like full tilt freezes and then he's crying hysterically trying to stop but he can't because obi wan doesn't love him anymore, obi wan like has to calm him down after like almost too long to the point where anakin is considering stabbing his blade through his chest, it comes to a full tilt confession to convince anakin to calm down all the while thinking about how he has to kill anakin technically still but he can't kill a sobbing screaming man who just keeps gesturing with his lightsaber, he had to calm him down and then decide to try to talk him back up into a fight, so he tries, but anakin is staring up at him (he collapsed at some point and never stood up or even looked at the hand obi wan tried to offer to help him up, no, he remained kneeling in front of him) with big yellow and red rimmed irises wet with remaining emotion and agreeing with everything he's saying, offering up worse information sadly and ridden with guilt, and obi wan understands suddenly that he can't kill him now
honestly one of my favorite things about fanfic is when you can see the canon influences come out in really subtle ways. like a canon line thats mentioned once as a throwaway is suddenly the entire premise for a fic or it influences the characterization or something. its just so cool to see how people weave their ideas around a source material, especially if its not a detail i'd thought about before
if you're sitting on a fanfic idea because you think it's "too weird" or "too niche" I need you to understand something: the internet is VAST and FULL of people with your exact brand of weird. that crackship that makes sense only to you? there are at least 50 people who will read it and go "oh my god FINALLY." but even if there were ZERO? you still deserve to write the thing that makes your brain light up.

This series is so iconic I must recc it, but it's long as hell, so in a separate section. It's a highly influential fic series in this fandom and I fully understand why. Obi-Wan, living on Tatooine, travels back (physically) to when he was still an initiate. He changes the timeline drastically. Very slow pacing, read if you want to settle in for the long haul!

This fic series changed my brain chemistry! Leia travels back to several months before AotC. She forms a strong relationship with Shmi, who is also very important in this series. I really love that.
