Okay, so this isn’t exactly fandom related but it bothers me how few people know this. So, have you ever had some idiot in your school or something say that they were the smartest because they got the best grade? Yeah, I bet %99.9 you have. Just wanted to let you know that there’s a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Being smart is having wisdom and knowledge is just taking in information. Obviously, you can turn knowledge into wisdom. For example, I know that women all over the world are harassed by ignorant idiots. I took this knowledge and turned it into wisdom by believing we should all have equal rights, becoming feminist af, and working to resolve this issue. You don’t need knowledge to have wisdom. Sometimes you can just get wisdom. That’s the only way I can explain it. By the way, school only tests your knowledge, so you can be smarter than Einstein even if you got an F on your last math test. Now I’m not saying school’s unimportant, (even though it is the most pointless thing in history and it’s living hell) and I’m not saying to try to get bad grades. (This is where it gets cliche) I’m just saying to follow your passion (and I’m pretty sure goddamn grades aren’t it). So, if something matters to you more than school, you don’t need to worry about getting good grades because you are probably smart af already. Just a tip, if your parents are those helicopter parents who only care about what grades you get, or whatever you did in class, you can show this to them (with all swears edited out) and that might get them to care less about your grades and more about what you want to do with your life. I’m pretty sure no one’s going to see this post so I don’t even know why I’m trying, but if even one person sees this and takes it to heart it will make me so happy to know I have encouraged someone to be okay with who they are and what their passion is.
