So.... on the fantroll art for the artless giveaway

if anyone doesn’t know I do this thing like twice a year where I gather donations of art commissions from artists and run a giveaway where they’re given to people who usually can’t afford commissions or draw their own art. This is done in the hope of evening the playing field for fantrollers who don’t have fancy art and don’t get as much attention because of it. (the blog for it is @fantrollartfortheartless​ if you want more info)

I kinda want to start it up again but, like, every run there seems to be less and less need for it. 

Like, I think people enter the giveaway, win and then don’t need it the next time? idk, but every time I have a weirdly hard time getting entrants. :/

but I do like the bit of positivity it brings to the community and I’ve heard a lot of other people to do. 

So I was thinking of maybe doing something different with the same goal of community positivity.

 idk what though. if you’ve got suggestions my inbox and IMs are open.

Also I’d like to not run it all by myself this time please and thank you

or maybe it could be the same thing with different parameters? idk, just thought I’d get the idea out there.

In regards to the last ask, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the artLESS give away? I get the concept and think its good, but what about us athletes people who have NOTHING to offer, were left setting here going "now what?" If we don't have the money to commission, while arrested do....what they do already, sharing their art and getting more publicity for it...

currently I’m working on maybe making something like a community wide giveaway. Basically like the ones in the past but anyone can enter   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it’s a work in progress. 

I do still want to do something like specifically for artless fantrollers but I was thinking like maybe making an artless fantroller of the week or something? 

like there used to be a blog called fantroll charity (I haven't seen it in a while) where people could enter their troll into a sort of raffle to get their troll featured and get art from the community. There was a quota that had to be filled for each featured troll so everyone at least got a certain amount of art. I was thinking maybe something like that, using this blog as a base.

The entry process involved making art for a previous featured fantroll though which obviously doesn’t apply here. I’m just concerned with like keeping the motivation going?

How about an art exchange instead of just the giveaway? Artists of all types and experience welcome. I don't know many people in need of sprites but I know that I personally love other people's art and sharing my own. It could be a fun thing to connect the community as well as art for the artless.

The nomination feature was originally first added because I was having a hard time getting entrants to enter themselves tbh
