"We're always together, but still I feel the distance in my soul."
A J Addams
He has trained his heart so thoroughly not to feel anything that I sometimes wonder how he ever loved me—and if he really did.
apologies are pointless to me now. change your ways or get the fuck outta my way.
My childhood trauma didn't make me stronger. it made me a people pleaser. it made me forgive way too much. it made me not speak when i'm supposed to. it made me an extreme empath.

"How do I stop carrying everything that has ever happened to me?"
– If My Body Could Speak, Book by Blythe Baird
My dad had once told me it would be abnormal to be normal after all you’d been through and I’ve been looking at life differently ever since
“You have to be some level of delusional to be happy” I say to him. “To sit there and see the world for exactly what it is? Only a madman wouldn’t go mad”

“as children, we’re told home is four walls, a roof, rooms, & a door. no one tells you it’s a heart that aches when you’re away, or arms to hold you when you’re afraid.”

I really like how everyone has different love languages. In 3rd grade my best friend used to carry an extra tissue paper just for me. My father always gives me yolk from his fried egg. My brothers always make sure to bring cupcakes for me because I like that. In short, It's just so adorable when anyone remember little details about you and then making that as a love language.
