Bye Tumblr. Thank you for not listening to your community.
“You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.”
— Stephen King / On Writing
I’M DEAD AFSHGASJHJHA
“Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one’s head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace.””
— Oscar Wilde
Honestly shoutout to The Social Network for giving us the line “you’re going to go through life thinking that girls don’t like you because you’re a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won’t be true. It’ll be because you’re an asshole” because if that doesn’t epitomize women’s feelings for entitled male nerds I don’t know what does
Maybe misusing the name of God isn’t so much about saying the shallow words, “Oh my God,” as it is about using the name of God to justify discrimination, oppression, injustice, racism, slavery, xenophobia, poverty, sexism, islamophobia, ableism, homophobia, war, & the list can go on.
You’re damn right that’s what that commandment means.
“Oh my God” is not what “taking the lord’s name in vain” means. It never has been. People justifying their hypocrisy with cognitive dissonance has been the way of religious abuse for centuries and it’s exactly what Jesus was even talking about 90% of the time.
I love being alone in my room, I love not having to be a person
nothing like a good ol’ fashioned creepy asterisk.
To all those who tweet at me saying that they “hope I fail”, I have failed many times many times in my life. But more importantly, I’ve learned from every setback, proudly own up to my mistakes, grown from disappointments, and now I’m a glamazon bitch ready for the runway.
