“Well, hey. You’re the expert. But you’ve definitely made a few very good points. Who knew I was coming across as a caring brother?”
“Hey the fact you got anything at all counts as being caring, I’d imagine. Especially now that we’re outta school and parents can’t force you to do stuff.”

“No. What if I misplace my phone whilst it’s on silent?”
“How ‘bout this, I’ll give you his name after all the vouchers are found.”
miss-sinclair:
“Of course not, that would be cheating. I’m just curious to know who the amazing finder is. Incase I ever lose anything important.”
“Surely that thing wouldn’t be a voucher to alcohol you don’t need, right?”
miss-sinclair:
“Who’s the guy?”
“If I tell you, are you gonna go make best friends with him?”

Dylan cocked an eyebrow as he studied Jacob’s face, unsure if he was joking or being serious. “Uhm, yeah. I mean, I can think of better gifts to give and receive, but they are darn useful!”
“Well hey, if you go for stuff they don’t need, it’s always a shot in the dark as to whether you’re gettin’ them something they’ll like or not. You get somethin’ they need? You know they’ll be grateful later on, and know you care about them.”

“Looks like I got here just in time, then.”
“Might’ve, good luck finding ‘em though. I don’t know where the heck they are, after I made the guy who brought five at once go hide the other four again.”

“The difficultly is figuring out what exactly the middle is.”
“You reckon its the same for just ‘bout everyone, or we’ve all got our own speeds?”

“OH!” Dylan exclaimed, the penny dropping. “You have a shitload of brothers and sisters, right? I’ve just the one and let’s just say each of us don’t own a pair of socks that wasn’t bought by the other.”
“Sure as heck do. Socks are a darn good gift, dunno how so many always get lost or holes in ‘em after one or two uses.”

Caitlin chuckled placing the CD in her bag with a smile. “Then it shall come with me! I can’t risk missing the opportunity of hearing your tone death singing!” Adjusting herself in her chair so she fully faced the camera again, she nodded in agreement. “Thank you Jacob! That would be amazing! Honestly I don’t know how I have so much crap and the idea of moving it all back in one day doesn’t seem appealing!”
“C’mon now, it isn’t that bad is it?” Jacob teased back, knowing very well that it was. How many times had his siblings referred to it as being akin to a cat screeching in pain? “Not a problem. If there’s any bigger things you won’t need, we can load ‘em in the back of my truck since it’s supposed to be nice Friday, thank goodness.”

“And Taylor let you make that many?”
“Between you and me? I don’t think anyone asked Taylor before making them.”

“Last fall? Procrastinate much, do you?”
“Nah, more of used most of my money for presents both Christmas and birthday since then.”

Caitlin pursed her lips together trying to contain herself from correcting him. “If you could convince her that would be amazing! It’d save me a bit of money plus I can irritate you with car karaoke!” She swiveled in her chair picking up a CD from the bookshelf just beside her and read it aloud, “best hits of the nineties! It has the spice girls on it?!”
Jacob squinted to look at the CD, only to lean back with a laugh as Caitlin explained. “Well good golly, Linny, you know I can’t possibly resist the Spice Girls. I’ll have a chat with her tonight and see what I can do. Maybe we can pack up some of your stuff and start movin’ it back home if you want?”
“I think there’s only ‘bout four vouchers for the alcohol left. We hadda make a rule, only one per person.”

“A pocket watch?” Dylan laughed, a bemused expression across his face. “How do you not lose that thing?”
“Ah well, used to have a chain with a little hook that kept it on my loops. Gotta get that fixed soon, broke last fall.”
itsdylanwesley:
“You’ll just have to make sure you get the good stuff then. Gold and white gold only, you’re better off anyway. It’s a nice excuse.”
“Lucky me my watch is gold,” Jacob chuckled, reaching into his pocket to pull out said old fashioned pocket watch. “Don’t need much else to be fancy like that.”
