This is Colleen Doolin’s display case which she made, painted and distressed, using upcycle methods as shown in the FARRAGOZ Patina PROJECTS Course. She followed the step-by-step videos and instructions to make the display case and also to produce her own stain, primer and paint...

I hope everyone is doing well. So beautifully worn!
Insider Tips on how to recreate Dusky Rose patina on wood. What do you see when you look at old paintwork? Chipping? Scuffing? Cracking? I see all of that and a whole lot more. Over the years I have trained myself to not merely look at old paint, but to really see it. To see its patina. To see its colours. To see its history... http://farragoz.blogspot.com/2015/08/study-of-patina-in-dusty-rose.html
We are so excited to announce that we have added a new project at the start of the FARRAGOZ Patina PROJECTS Course called the Colour Wheel.
In this module, students learn the invaluable skill to assess colours and understand how they work when mixed together. They will also learn how to make their own carbon paper, wood stain, casein paint, watercolours and sealers. All of which are applied on board to create a colour wheel, based on one from a 300-year-old book and of which the colours have degraded over time. Finally, we show students how to distress and add extra patina to their colour wheel for it to look authentically old and faded like the original. See more about this colour wheel and the original one HERE.
